Search for the internet about PowerMP3, it has good interface, customizable equalizer, categorize options to open music files easily and best of all you can get it free.
There are also a lot 3rd party music players aside from PowerMp3 for Symbian. That is one best thing about Symbian, developers can easily create applications fir this OS.
When i first boight it my n8 was slow amd froze opening music player and photos, then i reinstalled the firmware, one soft format *#7780# and a hard format *#7370# later, its (touch wood lol) working great :)

Much better than the reviews/videos made out, I've had mine for 5 days now and it really is a competitor to Iphone4, HTC Desire, and Samsung Galaxy.
The N8 does have an odd case design that will not appeal to all, but otherwise I cannot fault this phone.
Unique features are the 12MP camera, 720p video, mini HDMI port, built in mapping/navigation not requiring online downloads, and FM transmitter.
Phone just rocks!! Has everything one could want. I cant wait for more apps to come out though in ovistore.
Good: solid built, beautiful body, glass, and color. Awesome speaker. Nice photo output, good navigation software.
Bad: tiny keyboard, browser too slow n too many steps, os software crashed two to three times a week ( need major update ), video format need to convert to mp4 - doesn't play avi or wmv, no physical back button, no ui volume control, battery fair, and most of the apps are junk.
I love this phone but it need OS update quick.
Can Any one tell me whether N8 has custom equalizer settings? I don't like equalizer presets and love to set the way i like but i heard that it has only fixed presets which are not editable...Oh Nokia how could u forget this it is there in even the simplest phones..Anyway Please reply can we edit equalizer presets If Not i not going to buy this phone.....
Having had a chance to play round with this phone for a while, can give opinion a little better. The bad, selecting fildes by marking them, say for transfer, still the boring task of having to select EACH one to mark, no box to tick, that would be so MUCH EASIER! Keyboard is only mobile version in portrait, no qwerty! Wallpaper, just changing that you have double menu, and this is supposed to be 'simple'. The HDMI output is good, but could be better. The whole interface looks and feels outdated, no change on that opinion.
The good bits, build quality absolutely first class! Never seen such a well manufactured phone for years, solid and QUALITY. Feels a lot more expensive than it actually is. Screen too small, and could be better, does not always register your touch input. No ability to create personal graphic eq' preset, well cannot find one. FM transmitter very good idea, works very well. The camera is a masterpiece, cannot fault. Probably someone could fault it, I can't.
So to me a mixed bag, shame the operating system does not match the build quality.
Would highly recommend this phone at the price, it's quality but it's not that modern.
i bought dis fne yesterday ...it a beautiful fne got everything in .. its simple great ! i ave a iphone also both r xcellent at there spot but d only thing i m nt satified is the touch .. iphone has a much better touch dan dis !
hi to all,my phone hangs a lot,is very buggy,i dont hear when call in the bus and my girl friend say that is ugly...im very confuse!
I had a chance to play around with my friends N* today. Honestly.....besides the camera on this phone..... I feel that the N900 is better. The software has improved in speed etc, but is still the same old symbian. After having a N97, I do not want to see symbian again.
The phone specs look good on paper, and the hardware is good but it still lags here and there. It is a good phone and has all the features, but if you are one of the fanatics who want something new and fresh, try the other brands.
which phone did u choice 1) nokia n8 2) iphone4 3) evo 4) htc hd7 5) my touch 4g 6) vibrate 7) g2 8) galaxy 9) telephone 10) none
the POWER of n8, just watch how great this phone is !!!!!
Also I wouldn't follow SE fan pages for the X12, I understand you're excited but I could just as easily create my own fan page for the Nokia N9 given it unrealistic hardware and style that was crafted by the hands of god... but that would be delusional. Just wait for the official stats mate.
