if you need ... moreYes that was a useful reply. now I hear some app called sktfire is going to bring full flash support in iphone. Heard this app will encode flash to html5. Now that becomes another big reason to go for iphone. My friends say Flash support was what iphone sorely missed.
Also forgot to mention that my n8 is restarting by itself at times or not coming back to life at all without me restarting. I have the latest firmware downloaded from nokia site.

if you need BT3/FreeNAV/12MP/Xenon/video/USBOTG/HDMI then stay with N8 (it will get updated soon to S4 with new UI)
if you want gaming/load-of-apps/net-surfing/fast-CPU/UI then buy IPhone 4.

After watching a... moreOh, nice try for trolling, but too many mistakes to actually pass.
For example, if you had actually seen the N8 and iPhone 4 screens next to each other, you could notice that N8 looks lot better and more vivid (no surprise since its AMOLED). Exactly opposite that you were saying.
Also for example comparing NFS Shift, that is available to both platforms, they look and perform the same. The Android version is actually the one that isn't quite up to the par. Once again the AMOLED makes N8 version seem more colorful than iPhone though.

my n8 just doesnt stand anychance near the ubercool iphone 4 of my friend.
After watching a video on iphone, one just feel the screen of n8 is too small.
internet browing on my friend's iphone 4 is a breeze whereas my n8 falls way behind with an outdated browser.
iphone 4 has better audio quality with Bose headphones than n8.
iphone 4 has a good LED flash which n8 sorely misses. xenon flash is too powerful and it causes subjects to blink their eyes resulting in improper exposures.
iphone 4 interface is so easy to understand and navigate even on first use whereas Im still struggling with the multilevel menu of n8.
the quality of games and other apps on appstore makes me wonder what nokia has got in ovi store for my n8.
Display of iphone 4 is so crisp. N8 looks faded.
typing a message on iphone is walk in the park whereas n8 makes it so cumbersome.
appearancewise iphone again beats my n8.
processorwise also iphone 4 is miles ahead.
Guys I am wondering if I made the wrong decison by buying n8. Things like support for flashlite, 12mp camera, usb on the go, bluetooth, multiple video codec support, life time free voice navigation are some of the things which prompted me to go for n8. But all those nice features are not nicelyfalling in place due to the poor interface of this phone when compared to iphone's simplicity and powerfulness.

mallikarjun, 04 Nov 2010i was sure to buy n8 but wifi direct in galaxy s just confused me.can anybody help?that so called "wifi direct" which lets you connect the device directly isn't new, this was available since N95 days.
so don't worry it's available on most Nokia's devices.

better UI then go with SE and this has good free apps.
NOTE: the support for N8 is much better and it gets updated from both Nokia and 3rd party programmers/users.
take into consideration that sony is falling in mobiles arena and this will turn bad if it goes the same next few months.

But nokia has learnt from its mistakes and this is a really g... morethen u buy N97 from me for 550$.how can u say not to compare phones of nokia itself,simply dont present posts.r u an N97 user?if u had owned it u wud know what it feels like.u keep snoring

Guys, after you install some software, you can monitor the resource usage using settings->rnd tools->perfmon
check if cpu and memory usages are normal. If something looks abnormal, you should remove the software immediately.

After tha... moreGitty, I think the best and easiest way is you contact Nokia care center and ask them to flash new firmware and updates for you without any wasteful struggle yourself if you have not had any experience to flash firmware yourself before.
