Is there a better calendar for the N8? My calendar, in month showing mode, takes forever to populate the days and then also to post alarms, meetings, etc. on it. This telephone seems to be very slow and it seems to hang-up quite frequently.
I have read about the execution of backed-up commands and now I know what those people meant. One keeps pushing the image for the phone to do something and nothing happens and then all of a sudden three commands are executed.

[deleted post]well, everything has its positives and negatives, for example, N900 got MeeGo in dual-booting (unofficially of course) while N8/E7/C7 are newer products with rich features but no linux OS.
N900 is a good smartphone but *personally* I would upgrade by purchasing the newer and better products which as you said support capacitive screen and much more.

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2010n 8 is ok but no video light i am going to wait till nokia makes a bettes camera phone than th... morethen u have to wait for life long... i guess, because nokia never makes a fully acceptable mobiles. there will be a something missing. for example take c7 it has 1 gb ROM.but 7 mega pixels camera without auto focus.n8 camera is good but 512 ROM. in nokia there is + and - in all models they never make a complete set. its thier business formula i guess!!!

[deleted post]The n900 by my standards should NOT have been on sale to the general public like vodafone advertised it..It is a experimental device thats grows but you have to really know what your doing and be part of the meamo community.
The n8 is good in all areas but depends on your needs really cause altho a lots changed from 5th edition its still the same under the hood but has hardware improvements galore.
The only other factor to help you is n8 battery is strong but n900 is really poor.

n 8 is ok but no video light i am going to wait till nokia makes a bettes camera phone than this i want xenon flash + bright video light and fast os + 20 mega pixel and a very fast os nokia your the best do it

I am a N8 user from one week, and I am facing some problem with this phone. Its get dead in one week. Now my phone is rest in service center. So many peoples are reporting the same issue from different country. For the one who going to buy N8, please make an enquiry on this issue.

symbian is still the software is the most hacked and free applications like gps softwares, games,applications. apple,android,windows,and other are not so popular. i live in romania,country of the best hackers and i found many free or hacked apps for symbian,but not for other o.s. even legal pyment on line is not allowed from romania and other eastern europe cool countries, so we have to steal and to hack,and all this apps are 90% for symbian. so this is the main reason for symbian to remain so popular.

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2010N8 user please remember when changing to landscape mode you must turn your phone the correct w... mores^3 also happens to be the only OS out there that has fully rotating UI, so it is kind of funny trying to bash that.
