Simon, 02 Nov 2010I've had many reliable Nokia's in my time so that's the reason I've gone for this lovely phone... moreit is very nice to see aome honest people like u here.
Also, Nokia will release soon anew update for n8, then u will enjoy more also.
Amazing phone for the pros, H/W is good and with teh latest announcement for QT, it makes the phone future proof with hopefully revised and improved new features and UI.
QWERTY KB in portrait is a must have, but somehow is not implemented.
I have embraced Symbian after using wm5.0, 6.1, 6.5 & Android 2.1 and certainly the multitasking and battery life is what sets it apart.
ash, 01 Nov 2010hi, i'm wondering which phone is better and worth to buy? 1)N8 2)N900 3)X10if u want a multimedia phone then go for n8 but if u want to use a mini laptop then go for nokia n900.because i am now using n900 almost 5 months and it is a great phone.
my votes to help potential buyers of the n8
2. call quality...10
9. the feeling in hand...10
10.performance of os..7
these are my true opinions, maybe not the perfect phone... but best for my needs
I've had many reliable Nokia's in my time so that's the reason I've gone for this lovely phone and its simply gorgeous in every way. It's looks, the feel, the smooth screen and the videos are outstanding! the camera is amazing. Making and receiving calls are excellent as is texting in alphanumeric-although a tadge harder as keys have been moved-but damn good.
I've also found contrary to popular belief, that it's battery and processor are as good as any other smart phone, indeed as any other phone I've had.
Yes, I'm a proud owner of the N8
i use this phone from december last year, and is not so good, just so so,belive me guys,is mediocre phone!
ped, 02 Nov 2010Wheez, which problems have you experienced so far? can you explain more?I dont know the phone restart itself, when run applications in the backround the phone is lagy and the transition effects are to slow .. The browser cant load pages sometimes but 4 shore all those problems will be fixet with firmware update.. The rest of the phone is superb
ash, 01 Nov 2010hi, i'm wondering which phone is better and worth to buy? 1)N8 2)N900 3)X10i am an n8 user. nokia n8 launch with new technology. it is fast and reliable. So consider n8 than n900
i have tested it
new beta ovi maps 3.06 with pinch zoom and camera is out of this world! Unrivalled for the next two years!
Save me money to buy compact digicam and garmin/tomtom gps device.
Euro 370 plus tax is not a lie in my place
build quality is excellent,
hdmi usbotg are just bonuses
mulitasking is not as good as maemo5, but it is acceptable and fast enough to run ten apps at the same time
music playback quality compete with ipod touch
very thin actually and very light weight

GSM arena review says,
Symbian^3 is still behind Android and iOS usability standards
No video light .
Camera interface is decidedly outdated
Relatively limited 3rd party software availability
No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
Video player has some issues
Battery life is not on par with best in the business
Battery is not user-replaceable
wat if i connect my n8 headphone to my pc?
will it develope some problems?
Guys GSMARENA reviewed the n8 already so we all know it is good.Don't listen to the haters and I'm buying the n8 for sure
[deleted post]I bought it and using the same from last 4 weeks and its working perfectly fine....i dont know which phone u bought or from where...buy orinial nokia N8 and not the chinese version of N8.
I dn knw why the hell people saying N8 is bad or etc etc
The only thing which makes it bad is ovi store and nothing else. and ovi store is bad because application & games are very limited & most of the applications & games require network connection when we open the same.
I have been using N8 about 4 weeks now. I think that this is best phone Nokia have been ever made.
Really, there is no laging. Of course if you plenty of apps in backround phone gets slower (because this this does real multitasking).
Display is good, very sensitive (not as sensitive as Iphone, but very close). For calling N8 is better that Iphone, speaker is loud and voice is very clear. And N8 (radio) sensitivity is better that Iphone.
Only really disadvantage at the moment is browser, it's out of date. Someone could say that UI is out of date, I think it's matter of taste.
ash, 01 Nov 2010hi, i'm wondering which phone is better and worth to buy? 1)N8 2)N900 3)X10I am also going 2 buy N8 as soon as possible.Definately u should buy N8 coz it has alround feature as compare to N900 n X10.N8 is the well balanced n this years best phone...
