Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010battery not replaceable?! its Garbage!Maybe they have done this to make it more rigid and tough, less movement, less chance of damaging your unit. But N8's battery was made superb so it will last longer plus they include a really portable charger and you can also charge it using the included USB cable to make it more easier to charge. And anyway you can replace the battery if you have tools or else send it to a capable technician to do it for you.
By the way, iphone is like that also.

GL, 01 Nov 2010Hi There
Does anyone know if BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) can be loaded on the Nokia N8?... moreBIS is only for blackberry...Nokia hast its owb email/internet service, the OVI Mail. Actually it has a unified email client that you can configure to manage all your email accounts in one (yahoo mail, gmail, hotmail etc). It is written in the manual and you can also visit Nokia site.
But take note that all internet/email clients from whatever smartphne are network provider dependent. Means you have to apply for a mobile internet package data to connect to internet wherever you go, or you can use WAP/3G connection (more expensive), or use wifi connections.

Symbian 3 applications, games and themes are starting to flood the net now..visit m o b i l e s m a n i a
priyanka, 01 Nov 2010thanks oshiru, but could u pls explain me the diff. Btw the s60v5 and os3Both the s60v5 and s^3 look similar but the latter is compatible with Qt apps and s60 apps as well. Qt apps are smoother and run on this device like a dream. Qt is also a very easy framework for developers to write apps with and with it being open source means that it is easily accessible to any software developer. What does that mean for ^3? Well simply put, all Nokia phones from here would use Qt. All software can be used across platforms (barring those that require higher cpu). All developers can create apps and make more money for various phones. Developers have already commited to this platform and some big names too. Soon you'd have a flood of apps that are available on other os's but now developers have a motiv to create one for ^3. Lastly, ^3 has been designed not to use high processing power to achieve fetes of other os's, it has been designed as a light os. One that just works with less power comsumption but gives you a device that can go the distance. Nokia do realise that phones need more than just hardware too and therefore are pushing Qt and developers to create a good, solid platform. They also believe that higher processing power is the wrong way os's are going. Lower cpu's would achieve the same performance levels. That said, i think they'd still go up to 800mhz but their platform is more stable and the work is being done now with the N8 to get this right. That is why the N8 uses a Cpu and Gpu. It works like a dream. Trust me. I hope that helps.
[deleted post]I am 100% sure you didn't have N8, or maybe what you purchase is a china made N8 immitation...hahahahhaa! poor boy. Another nokia hater, why don't you just shut up if you really don't experience the excellent quality of N8....i am a real "smartphone (a phone that can actually do anything)" user and very much satisfied with the N8. Very blurred photo using a Xenon flash & 12mp camera? hahahaha! only idiots will believe you.
