So what kind of dealer are you....wheeler-dealer or just stirring here!!? If it's brand new return it to the supplier man! You dont tamper with it or you may just break it even further and then you'd sit with the problem. I shouldnt be the one telling you that!
my N8 suddenly brick ..go off..blank.. within 24 hours while i am key in contacts!! no download, no extra add-on apps and games. its just completely default by nokia! wtf....
when i looking for solutions to solve my problem by hard reset..format...etc. thn i found out that i am not the only person having this issue!!
I damn regret choose the nokia product AGAIN!! i WONT trust this brand name anymore in my life.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2010Never had any issues with voice quality incalls in fact voice volume and ringer are rated the ... more-All brand phones have issue sometimes -
being in technical support i've learned that 90% people who have any they issue report it & spread dissatisfaction and hardly 20% out of all satisfied customers report good things if everything is fine -
i work with a company which supplies all brand phones and you will not believe we had people reporting issues for almost all brands phones being faulty out of box but its hardly 2% to 4% of phones from millions of units .... so its not worth fighting for brands ... one should always go for a phone which suites their needs most ....and any OS when new has some issues ..may it be IOS ,Android , Symbian , Bada and now you will see same for Meego
so here are some links for problems with all major brands and their supporters can have a look here
so bottomline is , on internet you find almost anything you search for, but this does not make any brand inferior or superior ... go for what you like .. as someone said No one is perfect .... PEACE
Have been using this for 2 weeks, and it's superb. I have no complaints other than the internet browser - it lags on loading heavy webpages. With 3G disabled (i not on any data plans), and not going online at all with WLAN & gaming, i squeezed out almost 3 DAYS of usage without charging. Calls, sms, took a few pics, listened to music and watched 15mins of video.
FM TRANSMITTER is 1 of the great features N8 has,it can also transmit the sound of videos WOW !

And music..... 'Great audio output
The HTC Desire pulls off the same remarkable audio quality as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, but is louder in terms of earphones volume.
In fact the two frequency response graphs are so similar that we suspect a similar (or maybe identical) hardware has been used inside the two Android flagships. We suspect that HTC have found a way to pump up the volume a bit higher, which has naturally led to the minimal differences you see in the table below.
At any rate the Desire readings are excellent all over, the HTC handset pulling one of the best all-round performances that we have ever seen. '
The problem with the sound of the HTC DHD, is not only the music player, also when some one calls you the tone SUCK, like if u r carrying a speaker from 1950's
[deleted post]I would say go for n8 i have used htc wildfire and the drawbacks are
1.poor battery life left desire as it has 1ghz processor and wildfire only 528mhz.
2.music not up to the mark.
3.voice clarity during calls is very inferior as compared to nokia phones.
4.camera is there just for the sake of it.
All the best.
[deleted post]hey, check out the link
htc desire ranked 1 smartphone on the market to date.. n8 is 5th i think
if ur only after the best cam/video rec go the n8 otherwise the desire for sure

See the GLbenchmark tests and n8 beats HTC Desire HD miles.

Also, it depends on your taste & attraction to the mobile.
