vt, 30 Oct 2010guys just brought this phone.everything is fine but my gps is not working.google maps keeps sa... moreRegarding Ovi Map, you must have internet line to locate your position, thus map/search will show you where and distance to go. (WAP 3G insufficient power to run the GPS system).
Ovi is built in GPS but need support by internet line to full fledge running...like any other GPS system that u need to buy.
Ovi map also can run with WIFI, bcoz that the hp can run Ovi in the hp shop bcoz wifi is there. When go home Ovi unable to locate you.
So....subscibe internet line...

Its again NOKIA did what it failed to improve from years...That solution to HANGING Problem...in there SYMBIAN Platform....
I Bought N8 with all my Pocket Money n now i Tottaly understand its useless to spend so much on NOKIA ...Same hanging Problem In N8 too...
I Wish NOKIA Still have little Time to Improve itself and Come Counter ANROID else our child 'll know there was a Phone his Dad used to use called NOKIA

In another 40 votes, the N8 will be the most voted phone on the forum! And that in exactly ONE month after its release. Further, the N8 had a averige score of 8 before it got released and now it went up to 8.5 !

I bought N8 last week. This is kind of Nokia hp that i waiting for. Excellence, beautiful..i love my N8.
Must have internet line to utilise all attractive apps.
I want to find friends that currently using N8 to share experience & friendship.

a very nice piece of technology.... 12 mp camera with xenon flash...hd video, 16gb internal,capacitive touch screen,nice gps, nice amoled screen, n nice built quality.. on top of all that, its sold at a very reasonable price.... an all in one phone 4 evry1..... gud job nokia....

Bought my n8 sliver and phone is awesome. super response to touch, very good internet speed, royal looks over all masterpiece, technically awesome. finally nokia made it after long time.

when i play videos or youtube on my nokia 5800 it drains battrey in less than one hour . Is it the same with n8?

This is an N8 forum. I understand some people love to hate symbian but while the foul language and repeated post of the same thing. This forum is meant to give your experience.
Smartphones are instrument for getting things done and for some symbian works best while for others android .
Go give your family members more time or learn something useful/long lasting. Learning pros and cons of smartphones makes you look stupid in front sensible people.

my advice for n8 buyers, the right way to choose which color to buy is to see it physically, dont lookaat the display model because the real one has a shiny surface,
the silver display model is ugly but the real one is shiny and attractive, so far ,i have seen blask and silver, need to look at other color like blue, green and orange

I used to have an n82, but this n8 is everything i wanted the n82 to be; larger screen, super fast interface, smooth movie playback, fast gps interface (you can still use Garmin just dl latest s60 v), fantastic camera, high build quality.
One thing I didn't think about when i got the phone was how fast the gaming processor is. It is very very fast! the game quality is over NFS porsche unleashed! ... also, Summile is working on a psx emulator for it!
Also, the USB should be able to use a gamepad in the future! for all the SNES / NES / PSX games. there cannot be a n64 emulator for it tho :(.
The ovimaps honestly doesn't work that good offline (lacks points of interests and fails to find long distances) but garmin xt works great.
The touch interface is smooth and fast and logical. This is not a 'pretty' phone like the iphone or the android, but in my opinion, function will far surpass the kiddy looks any day.
Nokia did a great job with this phone. The only reason there are so many people who hate on the symbian is because there is something 'different' out there. Seems more like a 'fad' to me though.
But ya, a completely unbiased opinion when i say that this phone is incredible, and with nokia's reputation for support, the interface (which is great already) will only get better!

what so unreal with n8 price? I think so far the most unreal price phone is iphone. We choose n8 bcoz know it best for us,just take ur sammy wavy phony out of here. :-)
