My N8 keeps cutting off during calls and I initially thought I was cutting them off with my ear too, but the phone seems to be crashing. It seems to keep doing it, today it was at least 8 times and that was including when I wasn't even using it. This is really annoying!!

Nokia has come out with its best phone ever N8 claiming with its amazing features.
Recently I purchased one piece of N8 yesterday & unfortunately had a little disappointing experience with that as below.
1. Battery back up is not sufficient specially when U GPS on (Battery is permanently fixed/not detachable).
2. Symbion 3 Web browser & GPS are not so smart & not user friendly too.
3. Hanging out several times specially when GPS is on & with multiple applications.
4. Some of its applications & web browsing are little slow.
The one & only good feature with this is its 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss lense really make U very happy but again lack of optical zooming may make U to feel unhappy.
Accessing flash memory through it & HDMI port for HD TV connectivity also may add little cheer to your experience.
Please share your experience, if U also planning to buy one.

Damn, I'm SO glad to hear views of others regarding how BAD the N8 is!!! I thought I was the only one having problems! I brought mine and had to return it co's SYMBIAN IS $HITE! It's Notorious for freezing...resetting and switching itself off! This CRAP has more bugs than what my garden has! H ad it 3 days and the faults keep reocurring! I know Iphone has BAD signal but no point having a DAMN STUPID phone if it decides to turn off without you knowing! I USED to be a die hard nokia fan but seriously you Nokia people....wake up to reality! I've now switched to Blackberry! BB rocks all the way!

If you really don't like the Nokia browser then use Opera Mobile 10, though that doesn't support multi-touch and thats even more annoying.

i myself owe nokia 5800 and trust me when i used Iphone 3gs , only then i realized how much shit was i using all this while… android and iOS Rocks… and nokia is not even close… They really need to change the OS or they will loose the high end market. As of now i wont buy Nokia N8 even if its offered at half the price… and once i was die hard fan of symbian.. :)

Does anyone know if the Nokia C7.00 has stereo speakers? Nokia or gsmarena haven't mentioned it, & I'll be blown if I buy the wrong phone. Out of the N8 & C7 we need to know which one has the best loudspeaker for music playback?

Its daft question night but has anyone got a HDMI to composite cable set up? I want to show my mother and some mates what n8 can do but they are still using CRT tvs with only 3 tulip red/white/yellow composite input obviously..That said crt tvs still give good quality tv.

Plugged in n8 via HDMI mini cable, plugged in a mouse and now browsing internet on tv.Works a treat altho to make it fullscreen you have to turn n8 on its side.My next thing is to play angry birds on tele but you need an account,GREAT, i thought i could use my pay as you go credit,,any answers on that one please.
Another trick but maybe childish is zippo lighter (brings back smoking days)you flip the top open and strike the flint to light it,as you turn n8 the flame blows to left os right,,COOL.

deepika, 30 Oct 2010Ketan... do you have the phone...can i watch movies of over 600mb in AVI format on this fon... moreIn short, you won't require smartmovie or ucplayer. N8 is just too good for multimedia, be it photos, video or gaming.
