Anyway, you can try to disassemble it one part by one and see if start's with some part's missing. First, if you have any, take out the memory card. And continue with sim card, then the upper part of the body, then the antenna (buttom). Look if there is something broken... charger connector, antenna connector and so on. Take out the battery for a minute then plug it back in and try again without upper and lower part of the phone. If it still doesn't work there is only one device to disassemble and that will be the flash and maybe the camera to. Anyway, when you get here and still no sign of life... your motherboard can be pretty much kaput. Anyways, pay attention on the part where first felt on... maybe you find some broken parts. Anyway, don't get to many high hopes, though it can be still just a minor bug... Another question: Everything works well at the boot up. I mean, if you keep the power button 8 seconds pressed it vibrates 3 times? Also, when boots it's just showing Nokia or it's showing a white screen. or is loading but never enters the system?

pleas I need help; my nokia n8 fell from a height of 1feet; ever since it has been hanging on d nokia logo when it wants to boot; I have tried flashing but it didn't work and am suspecting it is a hardware problem; PLEAS HELP ME OU; I have taken it to repair shops but none could do it; I told them am suspecting the boot ic was damaged;but they don't know were the ic is; PLEAS HELP ME TO Know what's WRONG; tnx

Please check the file name of the images For example
The images which are displayed in gallery has name as
2013-05-13.Jgp
And the images which are not displayed as the name as
2013-05-13.Jpg.Nomedia or 2013-05-13.nomedia.Jpg Or 2013-05-13.n.jpg
So you can remove that Nomedia or n from the name of the file by simply doing rename of the file.
This can be done using file manager.
I hope you are good enuf to rename any file.
Also if the issue is not resolved you can re install the phone software using nokia suite.. It is quite easy Just install the nokia suite

I'm not able to see many images on gallery. I stored many images on my memory card but galler shows only old images, it refresh but does not show new photos. Whats the matter? Sorry for bad english

The other colors are all sold out, b... moreYes, new ones are already hard to find in shops - probably near impossible by now. They should all be the same price regardless of color. On Amazon, the pink ones have been offered for sale for $499.95 for AGES. Since last year, only two were sold (from 19 in stock to 17) Nobody is buying them and they will not drop the price for nothing. Well, they can remain in the sellers hands forever!

Ova, 03 Jun 2013strange to me, i always want n8 pink edition. but because this phone is discontinued in Indone... moreI agree with you - I will NEVER buy a second hand phone. I really wanted the N8 so I walked and walked hoping to find a blue, grey or silver. Only two stores had it in stock and both had only the rose pink which is just too colorful for my eyes. At $225.00 C'dian including tax, I was not leaving it! I never regretted buying it. It is a great phone. By the way, the other store wanted $300.00 not including tax.

As for the system, this one can take pretty much everything. If it can handle more then 41 megapixel camera with just a single core processor, instagram is like a lollypop for it. Anyway, you can try Molome: http://store.ovi.com/content/113885?clickSource=search&pos=1, is a kind of instagram. But as others said, why would you destroy your pics with this kind of apps:)?

The other colors are all sold out, but some time ago, they sold the dark grey version for the same price. Less and less N8's are available brand new, so for all people who are still looking for a new one, it's best to buy it as soon as possible I think.

In here, there is only grey and silver! if you lucky you can get green and orange (in very limited way!).
but whatever the color is, i always prefer new one because sometimes "bad seller" playing with the second hand handphone ex: changing the original part to the fake one that easily broken. Thats bad of course! thats why i prefer the ugly color than the ugly parts, its about utility!

Nokia N8 is much better then NOKIA win8 phones ..... N8 is awesme phone . I m used of 3 years to present .

Aadrian, 02 Jun 2013I saw a brand new N8 on a German website for 211 euro. But the color is pink... I can't figure out why the rose pink sells on Amazon for $499.00 and the other colors half that price. I ended up buying one for $225.00 because all the other colors were sold out. I bought a black case which hid almost all of the pink and intended to black out the few visible pink spots with a permanent marker but then I ended up liking the contrasting colors (top & bottom pink strips and some pink spots on the sides). Worked out fine for me but a male would probably prefer to black out the pink where visible. If the price was right and I really wanted the phone, I would find a solution.
