but following your logic, y does the X2 have internal antenna? the X2 dosnt care about privacy? :D
im just sayin that "privacy" isnt the reason why mobile dont have internal radio antennas...

well, N8 is indeed a good phone. However, the interface seems outdated. I do hope that nokia could upgrade thier interface so that it will be more attractive !

Do you know that it is very easy to attach a built-in antenna to a mobile? (for your info, check Nokia X2) But then why do you think they made it like this, that the headphone have to be the antenna? The mobile phone companies CAN attach a built-in antenna but they don't do that to make you give privacy to other people. I just said that. Please try to understand what people are saying, then rush for a comment/reply. Take care.

N8 lover, 23 Oct 2010Hey guys, hope you are doing well. I am lying in my bed cause I'm having fever. But yet had to... morenope, the reason radio works via headphones, is coz the headphones acts as antenna.. thats it , thats the only reason :D... and if u like you can connect headphones, and open radio, and switch it to loudspeaker mode...but u still need the headphones connected, coz thats where the antenna is..
as for laptops loudspeakers.. laptops dont have huge subs, because of the relative smaller space, and to lessen costs.. however, there are still some laptops with LOUD speakers, AND clear too... expensive Multimedia ones... watching a movie with such laptops is an average experience.

Hey guys, hope you are doing well. I am lying in my bed cause I'm having fever. But yet had to write here cause some of the people here are boasting out about some stupid topics.
The reason N8 (and most of other phones) doesn't play the radio without the headphone because there is a reason. Suppose you are travelling in a bus (along with other people you might not know). You feel like listening to the radio (but maybe others don't feel like listening to ANYTHING, they feel like sleeping). If you switch on your radio, then you plug in the headphone & listen to it yourself. How many of us will attach a headphone & listen to the radio loud? I know I won't. This is the same reason the phones (also the laptops) don't have the speaker so loud. If you wanna listen to music or radio, just put in a headphone & listen to it.
To that matter, the same reason makes the camera sound (even if you change your profile to silent/meeting). People love to have privacy, but little they care about other peoples' privacy. People like to boast about their gadgets. That is why the FCC rules are there to make your phone produce a sound (and/or lid a light) when you take a picture (even if you attach a headphone or make the profile silent) and make the loud speaker NOT LOUD ENOUGH to make sure you don't disturb others.

Shine, 23 Oct 2010As comparing Wid iPhone 4 Nokia n8 stands no where! Iphone 4 is only for entertainment and displaying, N8 is a real smartphone for smart people. Just compare the specs of N8 & Iphone4 plus the price ratio. Don't believe in the bloggers and reviewers specially those from the US that says Iphone4 is the best smartphone, they are part of the marketing payroll of Apple that is why Apple products are very expensive. You can check to sites like gsmarena where the common people and the real users are giving comments and ratings.

The hdmi cover is made of plastic and its surface is shiny and scratchable, very stupid of nokia
someone please give some pressure to skype, force them to make a version for symbian 3,

aileen, 23 Oct 2010i got my n8 now i bought it 23,699php nokia megamall, may i know what kind of amoled used in t... moreJust understand and learn the specs of your new phone. It has light detector so it will automatically adjust the right brightness to your environment. Screen is an amoled LCD but a gorilla glass which is almost scratch proof (you can put it in your pocket together with the keys, coins, or even swiss knife without getting scratch on the screen). It has the best "real time" touch experience so far. It's camera is the best for today's smartphones with carl zeiss optic and Xenon flash unlike others using only LED flash (Xenon flash is far better than LED flash just learn to setup your phone's camera). I was very much satisfied with my previous 5MP N82 phone with a Xenon flash viewing in my large LCD TV and N8 is better with 12MP. And don't forget the new breakthrough in smartphone feature of your N8, YOU CAN NOW COPY FILES FROM A USB FLASH DRIVE directly to your mobile without a need for a PC or laptop.

anywayz, it has an anti-reflection layer... so it should be alot better under the sun, compared to regular AMOLED screens(nexus one for example)

But you should get clear picture. Better check with The agent you bought from.

i got my n8 now i bought it 23,699php nokia megamall, may i know what kind of amoled used in this device? bec. my previous phone is samsung jet it has amoled. but my question is why n8 is not brigther than samsung jet both it has amoled resolution. im confused about
Lcd amoled. i could not feel amoled to my new nokia n8, camera is very sad i mean is not very brighter. it just look compress photos not good. camera captured is super compress not so good. :-(

N8 is officially launched today in the Philippines. But I will have to wait until February 9 before I get my hands on this magnificent device. I can't wait.
