[deleted post]Well since both of them cause the same, you shud would go for the N8 since it is running on the new Symbian^3 compared to the Satio which is running on the S60 5th edition. U will aso get to record videos in HD with the N8 compared to WVGA size on the Satio. The N8 aso features capacitive touch screen compared to the less sensitive resistive touch screen on the satio.
[deleted post]N8 is a gsm phone not for CDMA networks.
Pinch to zoom works without the lags. Formatting the phone is possible. Removing apps are simple by pressing and holding the application screen , then choose to either move or delete the application, you can also uninstall using the application manager.
GPS navigation is life long and world wide, pinch to zoom in Ovi maps will come in next version.
Should choose your phone colors by seeing the actual device yourself.
Attention to all N8 owners:
If anyone would like an app or a game in your n8, pls free to ask.

Care to contribute?
Nokia N8 Users and Owners, I want to be a Nokia Owner soooon!!! and want to know about the following.
Does N8 Support CDMA in India? I mean can we use reliance and tata indicom sim cards in N8?
Does N8 have Pinch zoom and is it fast or is there a lag when we do a pinch zoom in pictures? I read in some post in gsmarena , that formatting the phone is not possible in N8 and once you install apps, you cannot remove them from the phone. Are these comments true? Also does gps which is life long free, have pinch zoom?
Which colour N8 is good? Dark Grey or silver?
Please genuine and Proud N8 owners. Please help me out by answering the above queries. Thanx in advance , to anyone who answers.
snonre, 20 Oct 2010For those of you who doubt the power of the n8, watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... moreThanks, thats exactly what this forum needs, a device performance video done by someone not alien to Symbian. He said he opened an additional three apps and that it was still behaving smooth... I showed my friend that video and asked him, kindly, if he could demonstrate something similar on his iphone. He said 'no comment!' But at least he does not have the urge to spam forums by advertising how awesome his purchase is and how everybody lacks behind @pple, otherwise known as spreading fud!
reny, 20 Oct 2010Hi guys, I am in great confusion. I was just about to buy N8 from a Nokia priority shop i... moresymbian 3 in general is slow in opening apps folder but its not too slow.I.have a galaxy s and really satisfied with it
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2010c dis video..browser sucks.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPdj2QoZfsI&feature=channelWe know. Its bad. That has been duely covered in the review. Nokia has promised an entirely new web browser before the year runs out so you can stop the noise already.
reny, 20 Oct 2010Hi guys,
I am in great confusion. I was just about to buy N8 from a Nokia priority shop i... moreThat could be as result of one of the following three reasons.
The device had just started up and was still booting. It takes about 15seconds for all start up processes to have completed. During this time, the device, just like any other os, (mobile or pc) responds slowly.
You had tons of apps running simultaneously in the background. And by tons, i mean very very many.
The unit was defective.
The nokia n8 is by no means slow. Read the review. It speaks for itself.
c dis video..browser sucks.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPdj2QoZfsI&feature=channel
The standby screen always show clock and date/day. Why don't Nokia use this screen (it is always on) to anything else? I want it to display: MISSED CALL or MESSAGE RECEIVED. It is possible?
I am in great confusion. I was just about to buy N8 from a Nokia priority shop in Cochin, Kerala,India when i heard the phone has to be pre-ordered to get and that too it will take 24k whereas other shop keepers say they will give it for 22,900/- on 22nd oct. Anyways thats not the issue...
When i was in the priority centre i got a chance to check out the new N8 ... but to my utter disappoinment its responce was really really slow... like took 3to 5 seconds to open the apps folder alone... is it normal or is it because it was a defective piece???
please reply... anyone and everyone.. i need all the advice i can get....
thanks and regards
