Mark, 21 Oct 2010Nokia N8 is futureproof. All new updates in S^4 and MeeGo will come to the N8! Nice!!!@Mark
N8 will stay at Symbian platform and will recieve Symbian^4 update.
In the other hand, MeeGo will most likely go to higher end devices that will most likely have 512mb of ram and 800mhz or higher processor.

Happy now!, 21 Oct 2010I've studied my N8 now about a week and it's a fantastic piece of skill and technology. Proces... moreso.. shall i go 4 n8..??

Bought this phone a couple of days back. I was planning for an android(galaxy s) but budget didn't allow that so went for this instead(a d.grey one).
there are a few thing i love about this phone and a few i totally hate.
here goes. likes -
1.awesome camera and video recording - the best i have seen in a phone
2.good screen - not the best (SAMOLED rulz) but good enough to love it (i.e. if you haven't seen the SAMOLED)
3.the music player is really nice.
4.USB on the go. (having some issues with hard disks and card readers, if anyone can help me with this please do)
5.HDMI (don't use it much but still good to have)
6.Gorilla glass and scratch resistant body - gives u solid feel.
7.and lastly the the FM transmitter.
waht i really don't like is -
1.seriously lacks some eye candy.
2.performance is average (i have experienced a few lags and freezes here and there, and a notice of "out of memory" a couple of times (happened when i was browsing through the picture gallery. only 1 extra app was running at that time))
3.shitty picture gallery.
4.Issues playing mkv files (only 1 (360p) out of 14 played. most of them were 720p and a few were 360p & 480p.)
If someone can tell me how to play them it'll be really helpful.
5.USB on the go not supporting HDD (i know that you have watched videos of it supporting them, but believe me i doesn't support mine. I used it with a 160GB WD my passport and a 1TB WD external. doesn't work)
6.Browser not good at all.
7.On board keyboard is a flop (hoping it would get better when swype comes out).
8.Lack of cool apps (but they'll come in some time)
Overall it's nice handset for those who are in some serious mobile photography. Other's there are better sets out there, pick one according to your needs.

Ive just brought mine from Phones 4 U in Coventry, Market Way. Its the best phone Nokia have brought out in a long time the sales consultant damian was the best sales man i have ever met he was polite and very helpful, really fit too!!!!!

I've studied my N8 now about a week and it's a fantastic piece of skill and technology. Processor is quick enough because graphics has it's own seperate engine. Unbelievable camera and video, HDMI connection ja USB on the go, FM transmitter sends my phonemusic to my car radio - Jess! Browser may need upgrade but it's coming soon. I said googbye to my N97 and hailed hurray to my N8!

What do you think are the drawbacks of Sony Ericcson Vivez? It looks great, even gsmarena has given a 8.6 for it's design, Only the Camera is 8 pixel. It has everything that N8 has.
Are Sony ericsson mobiles faulty? Do they have Software problems?

Mk is not spamer,or any kind of bad guys. His site is for real,it's good. I also download some games on my nokia phone from peperonity,and will try to download some from mk site when i have faster connection(wifi).

Plz someone explain what is meant by "threaded view sms"?? Is it possible to make folders in threaded view sms form like we make in ordinary symbian messaging??

Hey guys,
I've just heard about this Sony Ericsson Vivaz. Is it better than N8? Can anyone who have seen both N8 and Sony Ericsson Vivaz please give me an honest opinion about which is the best of the 2 mobiles??
I really love N8, But now, I feel otherwise. Is this mobile really better than N8?? Please help me to choose the best one guys.
