Anonymous, 18 Oct 2010Nokia N900 is better than N8I have N900. i am using it for 9months and it is fine. but as you know it is neglected from Nokia ( no such a major up-date ) besides we were waiting for MeeGo, but this also seems not promising. N900 is very powerful devise and MUST be taken care of it regularly.
Maemo group/Team are doing very wonderful jobs & efforts to make the Maemo alive & not dead but hope to see a support from Nokia it self in order to give the N900 it real rights. it deserves.. ;)
[deleted post]What about Nokia N900,, Better than any of yours Samsung phones
just now bought it...realy amazing...like it so much...better dan my frnds satio...for rs.23500 its realy worthy....satio cost more dan dis and feature less...nokia alwaz rocks
uk27, 18 Oct 2010My big question is 'Does N8 has the option 'play folder' for music and photos'? If not, is the... morethe answer dude, is in 3erd party applications
for example, there was this app called jukebox or something, should work for your old phone.. it does play folders :)
check if jukebox is compatible with N8, should be :D
What the n8 needs:
a recontrusted virtual qwerty keyboard with multitouch
a portrait qwerty keyboard
a smoother and more updated browser with integrated qwerty
smoother more responsive kinetic scrolling especially in the web browser
Multitouch throughout the entire UI and Apps
Simplier and improved texting interface, email needs to be recontrusted as well
and the qwerty needs to be integrated throughout the UI instead of popping up in a separate window!!
AS U CAN SEE ALL THESE IMPROVEMENT ARE POSSIBLE VIA UPDATES....and i beleive we should only complain about things Nokia can actually change and/or improve not things that are impossible to fix like hardware shortcomings!!
I encounter bug for my N8 usb on-the-go. N8 shows me unsupport devices error message when i plug in thumb drive. even i went back to the shop and the saleman try it with different thumbdrive with different n8 also facing the same problem..don't know is this badge of n8 got problem or really a global software issue.
another bug that i encounter is the hanging of conversation view of sms. after a while, there will be a new message can't display in conversation view, but you can see it in Inbox.
Is there anyone encounter the above problem?
jan, 18 Oct 2010very bad phone better choose any phone from samsung, htc or apple. Why do you feel it is a bad phone?
i am gonna buy this amazing phone from Dubai Middle east, but i found only Chinese release only and i was hoping for Finland !!, is there is any difference, plz can any body help me ?, some people tell me that "Made in Finland" phones are more durable and higher in performance and very much everything !!, thx all for ur time :)
3 of my favorite things about the N8 that most people won't notice:
1. The haptic feedback is incredibly good.
2. The contacts widget can fit up to 20 favorites and is scrollable, very easy to use and attractive.
3. The screen saver, a vector art analog clock, looks beautiful in the dark.

nokia n8/htc incredicle/evo4g/iphone4/htc desire hdFor features and best support.. Nokia N8
For games and apps availability.. Iphone 4
For texting and best browsing.. HTC Desire HD
every smartphone has its positive and negative sides.
1. The headset does work, but I'm still sticking with the old N86 line-in one.
2. I bought the phone in Delhi, doubt you'll get it for less than 23k with bill.
3. No crashes/freezes/major issues so far at all.
4. Still loving Opera Mobile.
5. I'm using the S60v5 mIRGGI irc client, a little clunky but functional.
6. Still loving the Camera, even more thanks to Pixelpipe.
7. The screen looks great even outdoors. Might not be CBD, but is pretty awesome.
8. Can't wait for future updates to add touch focus/metering, portrait qwerty, split text entry, 30fps. Damian, please don't let us down.
