Been using the phone for sometime.
1)Browser needs to improve(now using Opera instead), portrait keyboard desperately needed.
2)Setup internet connections properly at settings>connectivity>settings>destinations to enjoy Wifi and 3g/edge seamless transitions.
3) The homescreens features and widgets are great.
4) Also saves more money in the long run if you know how to setup(email,voip,chat etc)... see point 2 to avoid operator billings.
5) Good features and good hardware.

Slower old ARM 11, hardly any RAM, a stupid file system and OS, no decent Apps, the N8, too little too late from Nokia.

Clarice, 18 Oct 2010Guys, I just bought N8 with dissapointment.. The image is blurred..dunno why..in the shop I tr... moreImage is not blurred. The camera button is 2 step processor to take pics, press halfway for focus and full for taking the pics, if u use the silicone cover it shakes a bit.
Or you could simply press the on screen shutter to take pics.
Mine was blurred too... I forgot to take out the plastic sticker on the N8 lens

The image is blurred..dunno why..in the shop I tr... morehi, i think u got same problem i got past few days... but i know wat the problem now... 1st, n8's xenon flash not as good as n82(smaller in size)..but still better than dual LED flash.. besides, u must clean ur lens first, after remove the plastic cover on the lens,(than after certain amount of use, u must clean it back..becoz it has no cover)... i also got blurr pic at first, but then i noticed the lens has many thumbprints and dust...after cleared the lens, didn't blur anymore...(sorry for my english)

i have been using this pone for 3 days.
i am quite dissapointed.
it has hanged and switched off automatically for more than 10 times.
the camera is awesome...but performance wise, it lags whenever u open 4 applications at one time.
i dont know if this is a bug or what, but i do hope nokia will issue a software update soon.
mine is made in china.
and im in malaysia.

Guys, I just bought N8 with dissapointment.. The image is blurred..dunno why..in the shop I tried 3 N8 and its all the same blurred picture..but when the xenon in off mode it has a good picture. My friends also having the same problem with me.. Is all N8 products sold in Indonesia having the same problem too? Perhaps Nokia Indonesia imported the rejected phone

Now that I know to push the headphones in really hard, I must say, they are very comfortable, actually more confortable than my bose in-ear headphones. The nokia earphone sound is pretty good.
I really like the musice player. I've been playing it around the house all day today - without the headphones.

I was waiting to buy this phone but based on comparisons, I think, I will have to re-think. This phone fails terribly in browsing and wherever data connections is required. Everything loads so slow.

I think, Nokia did made a mistake by choosing 256MB RAM.
In first video, at 09:50, N8 throws System Error when only 1 application was running as he closed all applications before starting YOUTUBE.
I think N8 is a failure in browsing and powerhouse in Multimedia.

I think, this phone is pretty good, but haven't many things, for example keyboard qwerty as nokia n97, and 32gb, because supposed when you make one new thing is to the best.

Anonymous, 17 Oct 2010best ever multimedia phone .....galaxy is made of cheap plastic yes the galaxy s is made of plastic to give the phone a light weight only 119 g,for playing your movies on your phone screen nothing better than 4" super amoled screen.
the built quality of the n8 and the still camera are much better but the android is the winner,check this video comparing android to symbian 3:
