Anonymous, 16 Oct 2010high price compared to other similar phonesYeah rite. Over here in Malaysia the n8 is rm1699. Wave rm1700. Galaxy rm2k+, Iphone 16gb rm2730. (RM3=1usd)

Guys I love this set a lot .... I wanna buy the silver one .... But whts confusing me is that old symbian OS with almost same old UI .... Why hv nokia used same old OS in such an amazing new set? Why not android? Whyyyy?

I have 4 SLR's (Canon mainly) and still use the N86 now and then for ad hoc shots when my main camera is not with me eg. dinner or partying with friends. So having a good camera phone is important as when you take a picture, time and situation waits for no man. Capturing that important moment is most important for a photographer at times. So the N8 would come in handy for that fun shots perfectly. Its the photographer that makes the shots not the camera.

I have used iphone 4..only for a week. You can hardly understand the person you are talking to. This makes it a toy..not a phone. Presented it to my girlfriend. ( don't tell my wife..)

Though n8s best feature is its camera, but anyone who is seriously in photography would buy a good camera and not a mobile phone. Main feature which most use in high end phones is internet browser. Sadly, here nokia n8 is lagging way behind. Saying that use opera mobile which doesn have flash and which is slow in rendering pages and have its own probs is not right. Nokia shud have given an excellent browser in n8. Serious mistake.

Let's see. Nokia controls half of the world population mobile devices. Apple and Blackberry are fighting each other for domination. But together combined they still lose out to Nokia. Thats funny why people say iPhones rules. I've got lots of businessman and executive friends and many of them use Nokia for everyday and business use. They have iPhones but only for fun.

Let's face it Nokia is the leader. So thats why it's always being compared to. Why do people come to Nokia forum to read and compare coz they know Nokia is a threat no matter what phones they come out with. Coz people know Nokia makes good phones. They dont make the best as no phones are perfect but they would give any phone a run for money.

Buying nokia n8 is just like buying iphone 4 with additonal high quality features like hdmi and itunes free for half the prioce of iphone 32g

I think all those idiots who call n8 'crap!' actually wanted to have this masterpiece. They just couldn't wait 6 months for it to be released.. So they bought iphone..or samsung. Now they regret it.. And i feel sorry for them :-)

i had samsung omnia hd which i gifted to my bro..
my new phone is nokia n8 orange..
so lets compare:
typing a message using qwerty keyboard doesnt give same comfort which i used to get with omnia hd (may b bcoz of big screen)..
sound is phatetic in nokia n8..
when i sleep in bed, i put my phone besides me..so my experience says if u place ur phone in screen up position, u wont be able to hear ringtone..
dats bad it has never happened with my oldie samsung..
touch is near about same, not better than omnia hd but is good.. no complaints till now..
fm transmitter, hdmi port, usb on the go, etc.. features are awesome..
battery life is not so good...even if u r not a heavy user of phone, have to charge it everyday..
but atlast it looks like a masterpiece to me...
hats off to nokia, has improved alot..
my last nokia phone was n96, it made me disappointed.
but nokia n8 is a charm, worth it..
money pays back...
