I experienced the phone in nokia priority store and i found:
1) The default browser is not so good but its so bad too, we can install opera or any other browser for surfing.
2) Symbian 3 is good but its not glamorous as android.
3) N8 design is far better than any other phone, like its difficult to put Galaxy S in pocket.
4) Touch is very responsive
5) I played angry birds & its working perfectly
6) I opened more than 7 applications at a time still no hang, no sluggish behavior
7) Camera is good & guys please don't compare mobile phone camera with real photographic cameras.
8) Video recording is also good
9) Ruff & tough mobile not like wave or galaxy s they are very delicate & i saw the broken piece of wave in chrome store & the guy only told me these phones are very delicate phones.
so, i would say its not the best phone because there is no phone in market which is best as every phone has some missing things but this phone rocks.

[deleted post]Well Samsung Galaxy fanboi, I actually did consider Galaxy S too, but got scared away by the amount of bugs people are reporting and the GPS problems.
USB OTG and camera sealed the on making N8 my choice.
I believe, its a set back.
If something goes wrong or phone hangs we have to struggle to remove the battery..
Pity, m not going to buy. No freedom
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010But while testing i felt it produce even more duller images. And the photos are for remembran... moreThe word isn't dull, it is realistic. Anyway if you want more "colorful" pictures, enable the vivid setting.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010But while testing i felt it produce even more duller images. And the photos are for remembran... moreI'm not sure about the test unit you tried. Coz if you prefer more colours than you can increase saturation. One reason could be the test unit saturation level was set to was minimum. No reason any phone in the market could win the N8 especially with Carl Zeiss lens(World Class), sensor bigger than some pocket camera.
can any N8 user tell me how can i cut/copy/paste the one sms text to another... as i do in my N72...?
How to select multiple sms at once to delete.. but i m not asking about "mark all" option..?

phones fan, 15 Oct 2010a must read review :
http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/14/nokia-n8-review/Good thing about that Engadget review are the comments pointing the faults. Their own conclusion ridiculously different from every other site and does a terrible job of hiding their bias.
I'm loving the new UI and it certainly beats iOS and matches Android from my viewpoint.

All we want is the camera to produce the same colours as our eyes see. Not processed to make it more beautiful.
I am a die hard fan of n8, was about to buy n8.but what confuses me is. I had live demo of n8 in ma hands, where i found that the color the camera produces is not at all good, especially in dark area the image color is almost black.the brightness is very low at max settings.
What excites me is no complaint of such so far.Why dont u guys see such a color dullness in the camera.even in the 720p video sample comparision produced by gsm arena,it clearly shoe how the n8 camera misses the color.
i just took 2 pic oh n8 compared with the sony ericson x10 image.x10 image far too good with visibilty.
I dont understand kindly help me to get out of the confusion.....
Dont any one feel the same?
