Let's face it Nokia is the leader. So thats why it's always being compared to. Why do people come to Nokia forum to read and compare coz they know Nokia is a threat no matter what phones they come out with. Coz people know Nokia makes good phones. They dont make the best as no phones are perfect but they would give any phone a run for money.

Buying nokia n8 is just like buying iphone 4 with additonal high quality features like hdmi and itunes free for half the prioce of iphone 32g

I think all those idiots who call n8 'crap!' actually wanted to have this masterpiece. They just couldn't wait 6 months for it to be released.. So they bought iphone..or samsung. Now they regret it.. And i feel sorry for them :-)

i had samsung omnia hd which i gifted to my bro..
my new phone is nokia n8 orange..
so lets compare:
typing a message using qwerty keyboard doesnt give same comfort which i used to get with omnia hd (may b bcoz of big screen)..
sound is phatetic in nokia n8..
when i sleep in bed, i put my phone besides me..so my experience says if u place ur phone in screen up position, u wont be able to hear ringtone..
dats bad it has never happened with my oldie samsung..
touch is near about same, not better than omnia hd but is good.. no complaints till now..
fm transmitter, hdmi port, usb on the go, etc.. features are awesome..
battery life is not so good...even if u r not a heavy user of phone, have to charge it everyday..
but atlast it looks like a masterpiece to me...
hats off to nokia, has improved alot..
my last nokia phone was n96, it made me disappointed.
but nokia n8 is a charm, worth it..
money pays back...

For all those who thinks that Nokia makes lousy phones. Well too bad Nokia still dominates the phones market by almost 40%. Apple just lost some of its share on the last quarter. This means that Nokia is still the best at phones. Why bother about glass on a phone like iPhone. Isn't metal more expensive than glass. Iphone users all getting conned. I've got a big iPhone at home and that's my window. Hahaha

The N8 is HD 720P for movies you can connect to TV.
Is there ANY phone coming out in the next 3/4 months where you can connect to a TV and stream HD from Flash content direct from the net and/or streamed source (Iplayer)from the Internet in 720P. Not just from videos stored on the phone?

The os of this phone is useless. Replying to an email is such a pain. Camera controls are ridiculous. Why the hell LED flash is missing from this which has HD recording? Screen may be 3.5 but lack of width makes it a no comparison to iphone. All in all herculean waste of time and money for nokia and people who purchased this silly phone.

IMHO, I think nokia shud develop more games for the Symbian^3 and don't rely to much on major developers (seeing how major developers are more supportive towards IOS and Android). Back then when N-gage 2.0 was still popular, Nokia had created great titles such as ONE, Creatures of the deep, mega monsters, reset generation, space impact : kappa base and system rush evolution. It was games like sims 3 from ea and asphalt 3 and 4 from gameloft that brought the downfall of N-gage 2.0. Nokia really has a lot of potential in developing great games.
