If you price iphone4 make price is much much much higher than N8.
What you expecting from N8 guys?

I had hands on the N8. Nokia team should be Congratulated??? The most glaring spec is that the equaliser of music player does not have personal presets nor can the default presets be editted to personalise. All nokia phones from 5233 have this feature. NOKIA PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I AM DIE HARD NOKIA USER.

2- whatever problems you had with the image quality must have had more to do with your eyes than the camera. Read the review.
3- did you say when the phone hangs? More like if. I haven't read a single article in which anyone claims the phone hanged on him.
4- considering that most of the competition don't even have hdmi that isn't a big deal. Buy another one. They aren't made of gold.
5- maybe you don't know how to use a touch screen properly. You have to hold it in a hand.
6- no biggy. Not even half a point.

Today I took a demo of N8 at one of the Nokia Stores in Bangalore, India
I had another visitor using iPhone 4, taking the demo of N8, we did similar things side by side. N8 IS DEFINITELY NOT AN IPHONE KILLER
Let me summarize my views:
1] the high end spec screen under bright show room light conditions, does not provide clarity - for videos, photos or in fact for anything you view
2] Photo quality and video quality are bad - didn't expect it to be bad from 12 MP camera so much hyped. iPhone did a very good job
3] When the phone hangs, you can't remove the battery and fix again to reboot. You need to press the power button for about 10 secs for it to power off and restart, even if this doesn't work, you need to take it to Nokia service center
4] The supplied HDMI cable is too short - about 6 inches long, hence you need to buy additional HDMI cable - hence extra cost
5] Symbian OS and the capacitive screen are not responsive enough - at times you need to do pinch zoom two or three times to get what you want
6] Fast forward a movie to say 10th minute and start playing - it takes some time for it to resume play while iPhone does it instantly
My suggestion, if you feel iPhone has its problems / too costly, buy any Nokia phone for phone and SMS usage and buy iPod Touch - the new one [almost iPhone minus the phone part]. With this combo, you will not regret
If you want mobile WiFi router functionality, buy Joiku Spot from Nokia OVI Store, your Nokia phone becomes a WiFi hot spot for iPod Touch, laptop etc

nokia_fan, 15 Oct 2010OVERPRICED.No VALUE FOR MONEY 20K is the maximum cost. but why nokia used symbian on it. th... morehave u ever used galaxy Spica. it have hot a 800 MHz processor but it;s very slow. but Nokia n73 which doesn't have some cool feature like 800 MHz processor or 256 MB ram etc performs well because it runs on Symbian and it works perfectly smooth so Symbian is faster than android.u can compare bada os on Samsung wave with Symbian. i have used it and it works well to but very bad battery back up.and about galaxy s i have one it doesn't have flash camera quality is bad screen is not scratch protected doesn't have a metal body and feels really cheap and it also have a odd size. so i am going to buy a Nokia n8. my brother have one and i have tested it.

hehehe just order N8 in malaysia the price is rm1690.00 only got black,silver and green get to play the real thing too waaaah so cool cant wait to get it 2moro hehe :p

And the photos are for remembran... morethat is mobile camera. whether it is 2Mpx or 8Mpx quality will be more or less same. for good quality image you need bigger sensor not HIGHER Mpx
so DONT expect high quality images from N8, even cheapest digital camera will give better results than N8

And the photos are for remembrance, what if the photo quality is enhanced so that we can visually see and identify with brightness in the photos ???

So far there is no major software and hardware issues abbpout nokia n8
well done nokia! N8 is truely worth the money

[deleted post]It's actually better than all of the phones you have mentioned... X10 doesn't even have multi-touch and is STILL running android version 1.6. Don't just hate nokia cause it's nokia. I have never like any nokia phone ever, but i have to agree that this is one of the best there is. :)

In India i think only China Make of N8 will be available. So friends who is using... moreNokia makes phones in many parts of the globe but rest assured, they have the same quality control policies all over the world, they cannot risk seeding doubts in consumer's mind about any of the factories.

hi all. just got N8 2 hours ago....pre order 4 days ago.chose silver white.price IDR4950000 or around 500USD ,free puma backpack and HDMI cable ( but the fact i just get HDMI adapter 10cm inside the box ) but they say nokia jkt will send me news and send the HDMI cable when it available . but i dont think they give me real HDMI cable like HDMI for LCD because its around 100USD. so far this phone is average...maybe later after try other function like the dolby out sound or else. but the camera quality is very very god. also i can use secondary camera for capturing or mirror. but so far i still like my N900....still my fav phone. N9 for replace my olympus digital camera. N900 for mesaging and browsing. regards all.

Hi Friends, Yesterday I have had a chance to use N8... It's cute looking hard working easy playing phone :) Nice I have surprised to see S3 OS working flawlessly butter smooth without any lags and the multi touch is fantastic late but latest.... Camera was amazing if there is anti shake future it is more better with a led light for video recording...
Video playback wow again smooth without laggs with best clarity I like it much with all connectivity and multimedia options it's a great smart phone.
People says look at the small hardware... But they don't knw S3 OS does not required a 1+Gig processor and RAM... It's doing the best for what it mean..
User Interface not impressing but improved.... Still we have lot of chances install any thing available in the market place to customize phone... Eg: SPB shell which converts your UI into the best UI....
am gonna grab one soon..... I won't care the bad's but I feel that am getting a high end device for what I pay and for what I mean,,,, LOllllll
