I am windows phone user and tried Nokia C5 as an interim phone. I was pretty much impressed and just got the N8 only thinking it to be the later version of OS! The fact is that C5 has a numberpad but this doesnt which made a difference in the experience. I would really look forward for the firmware update if any..

Ive tried one from the ovi store 'Dasur Slideit' seems to be ok. It works fine like swype but tapping is somewhat sluggish.
Tried installing the dayhand one but got certificate error. Probably its not for this version as you said!

Reading comments alately have really got me thinking was it worth Pre-Ordering the N8,i get the N8 tomorrow an then will see if its really worth buying,an hope Nokia have thought because of the Camera on the N8 loads will buy it,as you do not use the camera all the time,its the ease of use an the speed of the software that people want to see on the N8,o.k the price of the N8 seems more reasonable,is thats why Nokia do not rate the N8 as a Top Smartphone or not

I jus posted the disadvantages mentioned in reviws..
I didnt meant to hurt owners feelings, N8 owners are so sensitive.
If the problms can be solved with firmware update, why didnt they released as a final version instead a buggy version.
N god knows abt the service of serivce centers in India

Only the old style keypad instead! NONE of the new releases from Nokia have! I realise that the keys might be would be small! But u can use a styles! No thank you Nokia! Until u fix this glaring issue, I'll stick with my iFone 4! It's has the same size screen, AND has portrait keyboard!

To be honest with you
there are no real or majocrr disadvantages about nopkia n8
the loudspeaker test in gsmarena scored high mark and sound quality via headset is good as well
if only the loudspeaker is located at the bottom end of n8. Because there is no port in the bottom.

Nokia N8 has better battery package than icrap and
it only needs a software update to fix the video playback issue, while your icrap needs some kind of a bulky plastic rubber whatever wrapper just to detect signal and it cant be fixed via FW update because its a hardware issue.

Camera interf... moresimply don't buy it, but don't force your ideas against people on what to choose, it's not for you but maybe suits the others
all what you mentioned can be cured as it's flows in the firmware.
