Nokia may release music edition of this phone with stereo speakers who knows.
Sam, 12 Oct 2010Any1 among the real user, pls comment on the audio quality from speakers.....Pls r8 it of 10.You don't need to worry about that. For voice calls it's more than enough (clear even in noisy places), for music it's loud but does not have base (base is usually in Xpress Music models).
You can find several comments here and elsewhere about the good quality of the loud speaker. Don't worry about it :-)
Wheez, 12 Oct 2010It is loud and sharp.

It's at least loud enough to hurt/feel uncomfortable to my ear from like 1m away. A good thing to notice is that the speaker is on the camera bulge and if you want the best sound, you need to turn the device so that the touch screen is against the table/whatever.
[deleted post]You made your point the first time (though I don't think anybody here cares due to your foul language), but why exactly did you take the trouble of repeting it 5 times? You think this way it have a stronger meaning or something?
Think of the possibility that you might have not figured out a certain issue or did something wrong with the phone, there are many experts here that won't mind paying you attention. If none here could help you, I would say the last escape would be exchanging your phone from where you got it, if it's really not working out fine with you I think it's worth returning it and maybe have them deduct some of the money you paid and get yourself another one that you like. Make sure you try it first this time.
[deleted post]You are obviously just sucking at taking photos. Look around you, look at the samples. If you say they suck, you are blind.
You can return the device, it's your right. The problem is though that I'm 99% you don't even own one.

can any real user tell about the call quality please? is it loud & sharp? thanxIt is loud and sharp.
This "example" isnt from myself, but a fellow finnish N8/Galaxy S user. He's a business man of some sort and his clients were always asking when he was calling with Galaxy S whether he was in some tunnel or in some bad reception area and now that he got N8 they've been saying how the call quality really improved.
Certainly nothing to complain about the N8s call quality
can any real user tell about the call quality please? is it loud & sharp? thanx

Like what are the things that you didn't like about the phone and came below expectations (other than the user interface).
Thank you.
By my expereince with NOKIA N73, N95 and N97 I am no longer willing to go for N8.
I would rather prefer to go for HTC. All of u , please wait and see the users review before buying it. Do not haste.

I have just tried this phone and it's amazing! My two previous phones were LG, but now it's time for Nokia. N8 is the best phone ever. I was thinking about iphone earlier, but this is the iphone killer. I definetely recommend it to everyone. If your hesitating, just buy one. You wont be disappointed.
ramesh, 12 Oct 2010plz tell me if anybody used nokia n8 because i am confused which mobile purchage plz tell me a... moreI would agree to what "Wheez" said before, in order to define if this model is good for you or not you need to know what is your use or what is it that you need from the phone.
I could easily say that if you wanted a "well balanced smartphone" the N8 is an excellent choice. 2 days using it and it is lovely and I'm not regreting the waiting period and the delay in receiving it. :-)
Partha, 12 Oct 2010Can you please compare between the battery backup of Galaxy S and N8.If I got the question right, you are asking about the battery life of the Galaxy S vs N8.
Both of them managed to give a reasonable use for a single charge. N8 is with now for 2 days and it is the one I'm currently using for all my communications and it is still at about the last 2 bars of the battery. The Galaxy S used to give me 2 complete days (or just a little before the end of the second day, about when I'm getting to bed). So It's hard to say which is performing better given that the screen of the Galaxy is 4 inch.
I got this based on the following use:
- (2-3) hours voice calls
- Many SMS and e-mails (I don't count but they are a lot)
- Some video calls (30-40) minutes
- E-mail is always on on gmail and company e-mail, checking every 15 minutes
- Internet browsing over 3G for about (30-45) minutes
- Taking picture and shooting videos as may be needed. I do that for both my work to record progress and personal to record the moments I spend with my kids :-) so it's quite a lot. An 8GB memory card usually fills up within (6-7) months then I have to remove the files on it to the computer and start it again.
I hope that was a useful response to your query. :-)
Regards & respect to everyone.
