Aadrian, 03 May 2013Great phone. Except my battery drains pretty quick. Set to Power Saving Mode, disable BT and activate when you need it only, when you don't need Wifi, disable too. The battery life will be duplicated

Note that none of the Android phones (let it be Samsung S7562 or even Samsung Galaxy S4 !!!) have the capability to install the softwares in the memory card.
If you install a software in a android mobile, it just installs silently without asking for the location to install.
But all the Symbian (all versions) phones will ask the install location for most of the softwares (except antivirus, theft preventing softwares which will directly install in the phone's memory (not mass memory)).
This is where Symbian rocks. Most of the people who use android phones are illiterate in this regard (without knowing the above drawback of android phones) !!!.
To all :
Can you point out a single android phone which asks us for the install location (when we open the .apk file) without installing any thir party tools?.

Love my N8. Now using a Lumia 920, and my N8 as second handset. What a wonderful phones, both the N8 and the Lumia 920. Nokia is the best in all.

u may b rite abt symbian n nokia saving their bankrupt position ,but actually some people like me dnt have vry huge requirements from phone ,abt me i can say n8 serves me well from all points,ya i wud prefer a little bigger screen thats it..nyhw i checked lumia 800,the design is good but camera sucks cny transfer thru bluetooth...etc etc ,i dnt knw after sp much time in this bzness why nokia is manufacturing crap... well i dnt knw abt new lumias,hw good or bad they are..

Their iPhones changed smartphone software for ever. And then Google came. Symbian HAD to die because of changes in tech. and the market. Don't hate Nokia: if they still had Symbian S60, they probably would've been bankrupt by now. They did the right decision to move off Symbian, unfortunately: they had to 'Move on' for their own sake. And this is from a Nokia fan too!
BTW Lumias are awesome, trust me. It didn't used to be that good (800, 710, 900 etc.) but their new ones are SO good, 920, 720, 520 etc. Nokia are back this year.

Aadrian, 03 May 2013Great phone. Except my battery drains pretty quick. That means your battery is worn out. With a normal battery N8 will last for 2 days. It's time for you to get a new battery.

MdN, 05 May 2013I don't know. First try flashing again with firmware you already have. If it doesn't work mayb... morebut the problem is that it doesn't vibrate when i pressed the power,so the flashing is only possible via dead mode,i have tried three different files,the official and the custom,nothing happens,someone told me to take it Nokia care,but i don't think there is Nokia care in my country which is Ghana.
am not with n8 now,very hard to get another n8 again.
oh GOD help me
