Anonymous, 10 Oct 2010I am talking about turn to mute feature for putting the phone on silent mode when its ringing,... morethere are many things which always not written in specifications and while talking NOKIA they always update & add new things even after launching it.
Mute/silent feature are available in all NOKIA phones. About N8, you have find out urself or i will tell you when i get mine.

But, i dont play game on my phone for such a long duration. Playing game on my phone usually just for killing my time while waiting a meeting call or a sale's presentation.
And while killing my time, I use my phone for browsing rather than playing game.

i think you are talking about second hand??? did you purchased second hand??????
because wave model with 1 ghz processor is much more than what your talking??? did you really purchased any wave or you are fake????????? or dude you are doing fishy things

N8 plays Shift, and it does that gracefully. Check out youtube, there are a lot of them. Re laptop replacement, I never said I'll replace my Macbook pro when I get the N8. I'm saying it's a hassle that you've to carry your laptop around just to show/edit a simple word file. Re multitasking with 3 or more hi-def games in the background, it does that without breaking a sweat. Check youtube again.

Wow, finally I got to hold the N8 and not only dream about it. My dad's friend just received his yesterday and he come visit. I could not believe my eyes when his cell rang and he took it out. Needless to say I played with it the whole evening :-) The camera is absolutely tops - no question. The competition will have to improve quite a bit to get there. I am a bit disappointed with the camera speed. While better then most cells, is still a bit slow for my liking. Further, I was not able to install most programs written for the s60v3. The 3 I had for the v5 worked just fine. The screen looks beautifull and is fast and snappy. Now if only my dad will understand my problem . . .

n8 is slow year.. switching bet homescreen takes almost a second..

Check this http://www.nokia.co.in/find-products/products/nokia-n8/specifications . Nokis site doesnt have any mention of that feature.
I particularly liked this feature in phones like wildfire, LG cookie pieces.
I am trying to compare phones, and analyze the pros and cons of each one. For Eg; HTC device llike Desire, wildfire, legend dont have a secondary camera.. its their major con according to me.

[deleted post]I don't think it'll come before the last week of October. It always takes 2 weeks for the nokia flagship phones to reach our shores. So it might come before that too. Just keep your fingers crossed...

There are many many techincal experts specially in america who are too much biased b/c nokia is non-american company, and also they have some issues with nokia management about preferences and events. If dont believe me try to search you will find out. Even gsmarena also posted a article saying about matter of unfairness about N8 videos and expert comments. Links in some days before comments.
And about videos, there are many which are showing different story. So better than arguing on anything. You go yourself and find out. And about NFS, i will try it out then will comment on it

As they say: Silence spoketh the rest! Re lagging, it does lag. While Opera mini has just 5 tabs open, the phone can't keep up the smooth transition effects. I won't tell you to try for yourself, since your intelligence level is way below the required level. I thought you have some self-esteem, but you proved me wrong by replying and (pathetically) holding on to your opinions. No problem, just don't share it with us real humans. Share with your primate friends, you'll find them in the Wave forum.

where you found out that N8 doesnt have feature you talking about? did you used it??? i think one more rumour or biased visitor.

Thanks wheeze, I like this phone because it has lifetime free navigation, 16gb internal memory card and expandable microsdhc, USB,mouse..
But after The final review of gsmarena of N8;
1.) Symbian^3 is only named changed the interface is same old symbian s60 like x6,n97,5800xm.
2.) The Internet Browser is very slow need to improved it.
3.) 12MP is not good at all very worst, i know that you are not a professional photographer to take it photos, but i could say resolution is not totally cleared compared to other brand. No Videolight.
4.) There is No Key button for call and end call.
5.) Games is also need to connect browser to use for gaming.
6.) Battery is not removable need to take it to nokia center if needed. need screwdriver.
Thanks Wheeze, Amanita and ALL OF YOU HERE. My Final Decision Not to get this phone. c6-01,c7 not good also the camera is no atofocus. E7 is good but no memory card slot. im waiting for Nokia MEEGo snapdragon nextyear or Samsung Galaxy Beam2 15MP with optic digital zoom android 2.2, dual core..
Pleased stop comparing N8 to iphone and wave. N8 is more Spec and features compared of two. All Smartphone it has pros and cos. Nokia will concentrate for new MEEGo OS nextyear.. Goodluck More Power Nokia Campany.. Cheers... :-)
