As long as it isn't fake (fakes don't have an OS), most likely it should have the same quality as finnish-factory made phones. You have no choice anyway because asia gets their nokias from china.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2010i have used nokia n even a app like "clock" is not free..So sad,I have never wasted möney for app. Games ! I can find everything for free,easily ;)

I went to nokia priority store(pune) today and played with N8 for some time , here s what i noticed.
The build quality is sturdy.
Music through Loudspeaker is disappointing .
Music through earphones is acceptable,used sennheiser MX760.
Camera showed huge improvements on focusing time and storing images.
Capacitive touch really showed big improvements over x6.
Typing messages on qwerty keyboard was fairly comfortable. But those with big fingers will have little hard time adjusting to it.
NFS looked very good on screen.
Pixel Density is not a problem. Images and screen looked very fine.
Pinch to zoom is not perfect, hope nokia corrects it in next firmware.
Home screens lagged a bit when swiping.
Over all i can say that a very good handset.

When comparing phone's whether it be iphone 4 or androids, need to remember that each person has different needs in a phone or even than that there are different types of phone user 'groups'. For example people who have alot of dead time like using public transport alot will have far more a need for internet, games and music player etc. While people who drive cars will appreciate the sat nav and fm transmitter more.
This is just one example of different types of user but shows how different people find different things that make a certain phone the best for them.
The N8 is def the best for people like me that do not have alot of dead time and drives but still need those other features at times too from a strong long lasting and reliable phone.

AMANITA, 10 Oct 20101.There r very few app. n games in ovi which r nt free ! Anyway I can get all content for free... moreya u can get all apps from nety but u have to hack ur fone otherwise it will say "application not signed"..n it will also void ur warranty..

Wow, is bluetooth 3.0 so fast? My laptop has 3.0 but never realized is so fast.At that speed I don't even need to worry about the usb cable :-)

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2010Bluetooth 3.0 = no more waiting to for seconds to send 6mb mp3s. It gets there in miliseconds.Bluetooth 3.0 = 21 Mbps !!!!

and also the bada is not inferior than android..it is in its infancy n can compete with android in many features..samsung will use bada n android in its future phones n they already have announced many good bada phones..n8 is also good..good gps,multitasking,camera,usb otg,fm transmitter n browsing.

How to know it? Am in India. Am planning to buy N8. But In India only China make will be available and am bit afraid that China make will be having a quality whick will not be as like that of Finland make.

[deleted post]No matter what the figures (comparation) you have, N8 is the better phone than the Wave, I say it again N8 is the better phone, just admit that you're jealous.
