Funny, but the disassembly of the Nokia N8 showed Samsung parts inside it. This is good because it means Nokia ties up all the good things techwise and are open to what makes their devices run better. Democracy at work here, I'd say.
Nokia guys should have at least make the new homescreen like SBP mobile shell, instead of the same old look.
prince78, 08 Oct 2010Can someone tell me which of the five colours of N8 is the best.. Guys i am a bit confused. I ... moreprince78, I am an owner of silver N8. I have seen dark grey N8. I think either suits you better than rest colors.
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2010good built phones don't have screw and usually lesser partscould we considered placing bumper on the edges as using lesser parts?
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2010Just tried out the nokia N8 at the Nokia outlet in Hong Kong. To be honest, the UI is not as ... morethey didnt do the home screen to move along with fingers as it has live widgets update unlike other phones..so it wont look good..u can hv live updates news n social apps where as in other phones like androids u can hv widgets n shortcuts..so there is a reason to it..
Can someone tell me which of the five colours of N8 is the best.. Guys i am a bit confused. I do not want silver colour as it is very common with the cameras. Red is for girls. Blue and Green are flashy colours. I'm a doctor, so they don't go with my profession. So, i singled out the dark grey one. But, today i went to a nokia priority shop and saw the dummy sets of N8.. The dark grey N8 dummy set was not so impressive.. Does anyone have dark grey N8 in reality. If yes, how does it look. Is there any difference from the dummy sets.. Help me guys.. Thanks in advance.
satan, 08 Oct 2010here are my views guys:
camera & video recording...AWESOME.no need to describe anything... moreThe n8 isn't painted so the "paint" can't possibly peel off.
Ordinarily, i'ld combat you on some o ur points but well, they are YOUR views.
here are my views guys:
camera & video recording...AWESOME.no need to describe anything here
Loudspeaker.....too shrill..no bass beat
ear in headphones....not so good.iphone wins here
home screen interface..... doesnt go with the finger.maybe to avoid accidental touch of widgets.
messaging....aside from auto correct,its awesome
net experience.... its quite good but screen page doesnt move as quickly or as fluid as iphone's.hence i vote for iphone here too.
gallery.... once the pics and videos load, its smooth as hell..but the pinch and zoom is not on par with iphone.
general UI....its quite fast and as someone pointed out, iphones screen transitions makes us believe that iphone is faster.
build quality.... excellent.but i am a little hesitant as nokia has a history of paint peeling off from keypads and buttons..
overall,if you guys need a high quality camera and video recording phone with better battery life then n8 is the one...however for music, for applications and for the best touch experience i vote for iphone.and since i already have a 3gs and am getting the n8 in 10 days ,am happy :D
vishal chowdary, 08 Oct 2010nokia n8 sucks.....being leader in market nokia should have done better. camera clarity is wo... moreBattery life is amongst the best in market and the camera in undoubtedly the best too amongst cameraphones too. You have a sucky photographer if he cant take clear photos with the N8.
Someone plese make a electronic dictionary app
"oxford english advanced learner dictionary" the content is the exactly the same as the cd that come with the dictionary book
it is very useful to non english speaker
nokia n8 sucks.....being leader in market nokia should have done better.
camera clarity is worst n and even battery sucks
read , i got this from engadget and lets see what iphone and SGS would say-
Surprise, surprise. The iFixit team have cornered themselves a dark grey Nokia N8 and have proceeded to do the one thing that comes naturally to them: disassembled it. It's mostly good news all around with this teardown, which found the BL-4D battery cell was only two Torx screws away from being user-replaceable, while the overall N8 construction was PRAISED as being the "BEEFIEST" of ANY PHONE THIS YEAR. plenty of bodacious highlights within, including the MASSIVE Xenon flash and the pair of camera modules -- which are regrettably not removable from the main board. The touchscreen controller in the N8 is the same as has previously been used on the Kin Two and BlackBerry Torch. Perhaps that's not the best pedigree in the world, but the (complete in one case, and relative in the other) lack of success of those phones WAS NEVER really about the screen's responsiveness.
