please some one explain the phone(i mean n8). something about battery or performance. this is about 1 week i only read s*** about iPhone or galaxy. please is there anybody that playing with this phone. sorry for my english

Being unique is one thing but having a phone that has all the features and just works is another. You have choice and in the end its up to you. I'd still say go with the N8 though. The bottom line is can you wait? That you've already made clear to us. Hell, at least even if all your friends have the same phones you can just pimp your phone to look different to theirs. Good luck with that choice. Piece of advice is to stay away from the iphone4 until they iron out all the glitches. There is talk of 2 more apple phones to be released some time soon as well. This may be another alternative if you can wait that is.

But no symbian^7 its not lucky number have anyone use n97..but it also have 9. So nokia should not released symbian^9. It wont solve problem i think nokia must use alphabet from now like symbian^a,b,c... It just my silly post, nevermind.

i will buy nokia n8 ... if you dont like nokia.. then dont buy.. i will still buy this lovely lovely phone. its almost perfect. love you nokia.

i used to be a symbian freak but after using n97 ohh god.its hell.i hate nokia and symbian...mostly n8 will have the same fault like n97.nokia should release meego becaz maemo5 is awesome but symbian B000000000!!!!
need a meego with 12mp 32gm builtin and 32gb xpendable with keyboard and super amoled touch screen.hd video and fm transmitter.thats all i need.i still love nokia but release something with a big processor or its a failure.
trust me dont wait for n8 or e7.wait for meego or dont wait at all for nokia

The other... moreBuying an orange one doesn't solve the problem entirely.see im using N79,and i hav no problem wid it.it serves my every purpose and with a decent camera.i can possibly do everything with it.the reason i want to buy another phone is because everyone in and around is using touch screen phones.though their's are not high end but still i feel left out and backdated with N79(just coz its not touchscreen). So i guess the similar thing is gonna happen when N8,E7,N9 all come out.everyone around me will have similar phones and i would want to change my phone again,just to be a little different.

The other symbian ^3 variants maybe an alternative choice here but i think the variants would be cheaper if i may say so as normally the N series phones would be the higher end smartphone bar the E series. Buy a different color! Not much people will choose the orange color! Thats the color i want for the very same reason and i think lots of people will go for the blue, silver and black.

There... moreI appreciate ur comment,its not that i dont like N8,i have been reading ur and Wheez's comment from the very beginning before the release of N8. And since then i have been waiting for this phone.about android i hav read people complainig about battery,so i don't consider an android phone in my preferences.personally i dont like the design of samsung wave,especially the diamond shaped home button,camera nd flash. Nokia phones are gud when they are launched but after few months u get to see it in everyone's hand.moreover with E7 coming up,with similar looks as N8.this design is surely gonna be common.i like to be unique.

I ne... moreIf you are that desperate for a phone then i'd suggest the samsung wave over the iphone. There just too many problems with the iphone and the samsung is a good phone. I would suggest waiting though for the N8. The symbian ^4 shouldnt affect you greatly as all apps will still work with this os. Updates to come to this os would also bring it closer to ^4. Dont settle for second place. On the aspect of price dropping, well that goes for all phones too more especially with android and samsungs in particular due to the mass production rates and the ever changing os of android. Nokia have stopped releasing too many varieties of phones and this should stop the drop in pricing. The build quality of the N8 would also play a major part in keeping the price constant. Again, your choice here.

I need a phone urgent and another thing i don't like about nokia is dat its price drastically falls within months,specially when nokia has symbian^4 up its sleeve.the price of N8 is definitely gonna go down.gsmarena yet to review this phone,don't know what they are waiting for? Im presently using N79
