Hey you chaps. Finally my N8 black is waiting for me at our local post office :-) I feel sorry for you all. I have taken the afternoon off to go and get it. I will post shortly (later this evening) a short review.

I just came back from the Nokia store in Pavilion KL, (thats Malaysia for the unfamiliar). Went there to find out if X3 Touch and Type was out but suprise suprise the N8 was there on display, an actual working demo unit. My first impression, wow - the screen WOW, its really "shinny". Didn't get to play much just then but definitely dropping by again later.
All I can say is, I love Nokia phones and the company as a whole (what with their emphasis on environment and all that) but Nokia should really hire a better PR and Marketing people. Here is a phone that all of Nokiadome is been waiting for months, me included (I've been making fortnight visit to the Nokia shop for the last 2 months looking for N8 news) and here they go keeping the N8 hidden in their stores for 2 days. The was no standee in front of the shop, no "coming soon" in papers or outdoor ads, nothing.
The N8 deserves better.

Still, some part, especially the camera, in his review are not so good. Clearly, he is wrong, he also compared to the pixon, which he owns, and the pixon finished last in the blind gsmarena comparison.

[deleted post]I really wish they paid me, would help my university studies. Ive owmed the device since last thursday and it is really amazing with very few shortcomings.

Hi friends, Nokia cheating the peoplw, bcz, B 4 they said N8 is start the shipping, they put the fake photos also, but, not yet start the shipping, and it should B end of this month, this news from nokia factory at finland. U know why they play this dirty games, b cz, they got one news from Sony Ericson, they are preparing 16 mega pixel Camera phone, so nokia published the news Nokia n8 released, But it is wrong, they are trying to make us fools.

Hi "Wheeze" Pleased tell me the truth regarding camera shoot of your nokia n8? Im disappointed when i saw the GSMARENA photo shoot sample and comparison. nokia N8 it has 12MP right? Why GSMARENA put sample photos of nokia n8 is look like 3.2MP. where is 12MP of N8? and resolution is look like a normal LCD, where is AMOLED? im getting this phone nextweek but i saw the review of GSMARENA. im disappointed, it is worth to buy or not? pleased answer me immediately asp. ill wait your feedback now... thanks.

As for Andy, that review if ANY review is unfair. He hates Nokia cos he didnt get a contract from them few years back, he broke the lae by doing the pre-announcement N8 previee, he gets paid by Samsung.
That, if any review, is biased, unprofedsional and unfair. I could shoot the photos he took 10 times better on my N8 anytime

Sony just got its ass kicked by Nokia :-) They better bring something out soon. Next year is tooooo late ! They must do something before christmas! For the first time a cell camera is better then a normal point and shoot. Well done Nokia. Keep up the good work . . .
