I tried to install swype on N8...but wasn't working on it...played few games on it...amazing feel as good as iphone...the accelometer was very nice and acuurate...Not like the N97...just dying to get one on 15oct...Its the official launch date....cheers....N8 really rocks...I saw silver color...In themes there r theme effects and some animation background on&off option...wic I noticed...waiting for N8 to arrive on 15 Oct in india...As for colors...they said all 5 colors will be at launch....it depends wic color pre-orders they get according to tat Nokia will send the stock....

Seriously, I dont like the Galaxy S
BAD
1 The resolution is poor, as it is pentile and not real resolution. Fonts are blocky
2 Plastic made
3 Although colors pop, they are oversaturated and blue/greenish
4 No offline navigation
5 No flash, let alone Xenon flash
6 No USB OTG
7 Poor(er) battery life
8 Ugly media player (N8 media wall is awesome)
9 No HDMI out
10 No Dolby Surround
11 Poor multitasking
12 No Gravity app
13 No Skype (well maybe since today)
14 No upgrade for you :)
Anyway, in all these things I like the N8 better. The Galaxy S is not bad, but not for everyone. I personally prefer the N8, and many here do.
So again, WHY are you doing Sammy propaganda here when we clearly prefer something else?

In July 2010, Nokia announced that their profits had dropped 40%.
Nokia promised MeeGo Device before end of 2010.
I will be surpised if they can meet their promise.

Guys please help me I have two questions
1) does connecting the N8 to your PC through Blue tooth will actually let u use the internet connection of the PC ?
2) Does the categories of the Outlook are synced with the N8 (showing in the groups section of the contacts)

Galaxy S has things that the N8 can only dream about. It's still ALL about trade offs in mobile phones, that's why it's good to have diversity.
The N8 isn't any better than Galaxy S, Galaxy S isn't any better than the N8, on a "global scale". These are opinions. For me, the N8 suits me alot better, no question about it, but someone who never takes photos, doesnt have use for USB OTG etc may be better off with the Galaxy S.
It is, hands down, the one of the top smartphones out there along with the likes of iPhone 4 (I hate calling it a smartPHONE but ok then), Samsung Wave and the N8 for example.

I just... moreI too saw some issues with galaxy, hence my decision, plus I had been waiting for this and would've happily kept waiting but my phone died on me unexpectedly. Well, the wait is finally going to be over soon when it launches here in India. :)
And again, Images can lie mate. I have the device and it has its bad points of course, the display though is not one of them. I am sure I would've noticed had it had a blue tint, or read about it in any major reviews. Anyway, this is a discussion for some other day. And thank you too *sometimes it becomes hard to reply in here with a display name such as mine ;)*
Have you bought it btw ? Or waiting ?

yes N8 is a gr8 phone
but when u come to camera and fast phones there is no better than the Sony ericsson:)

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2010haha putting so many in less specs device?? welcome laggingMine doesn't lag. Overall it's probably not as fast as the iPhone 4, but I knew that from the start and it's a part of the tradeoff.
I rather have the freedom of Symbian with the HW features no app can give you. And I'm very happy with that decision.

New waver, 05 Oct 2010You didn't get the point. :) N8 has a very good screen agreed. But to say that Super Amoled is... moreDisplay does not weigh much in my decision of buying N8. I bought N8 for its super camera, support and solid quality of hardware build and capability of hardware.
