For someone insecure, here are some owners thoughts, but sadly they are in finnish, but you can look at the stars given by the users, 5 naturally is the maximum.

i love the specs! looks like i am buying a camera with a phone feature :-). one thing though, why can't nokia bundle this with a higher capacity battery? i'm sure battery would drain fast when used as camera.

Booked mines today for preorder in india Mumbai
All so had my hands on the demo Piece N8 .....Was awesome experience.
Now waiting for the N8 to be delivered to me.

Apple has always had only like one model at a time. So if you want Apple, you basically buy the latest. All of the buyers of the new phones are bunched around that one model.
Let's take Nokia, they've often had 2-3 parallel devices that all offer something different, so even if some single model couldnt outsell the only current product of Apple, it doesn't mean anything.

Also, iPhone 4 may have sold 1,5 million on it's first day, but current units sold is only 2,5 millions. What's up, did people realize it's crap after the early adopters feelings?
Besides, we do not care about apples units sold. Unless you wanna really discuss the N8, go to the damn iPhone 4 page. Nobody really cares how much iPhone has sold around here

As for "on 1st day", isn't directly comparable cos the N8s will be released in stages. I've had mine since thursday, it might take like a week or two more before it's available in India, for example.

Bush and fed lies about their superiority to the rest of the world just because a stupid redneck told them so!

The Nokia N8 is a brilliant handset and is one of the best smartphones in a long time. Symbian^3 is a great OS and is worthy of some series attention – watch out Android, Nokia might just have got its groove back!

[deleted post]Well they are hands down wrong. I'm not insecure, I (and many others) come here to discuss the N8 and we certainly don't care about iPhones app selection. We all know it's currently superior (then again many of them cost) to all the others.
