i did not buy xperia x10 for froyo? did i? nope i bought it as i liked the features n everything it will get in future will be a bonus
shame on nokia n after working so hard n for so long time this is the best they can produce that even 7 months old mobile is better than them
no doubt htc desire is very good but xperia x10 has its uniqueness

I haven't get my hands on N8 but with its just recent release like two days ago has gotten me excited over time. I really love this phone the moment it was announced. I will definitely get one soon. Lovin' it! =D

What if it doesn't get froyo ?
Ever heard about Flash support ? You know what, SE is the worst lot of Android anyway, you lot can't even cook up custom ROMs and will always be dependent for updates so Stop blowing that horn here.
And Desire is a good phone, go and buy it or play with the one your friend owns. Why are you here if N8 doesn't concern you ? Its not going to kidnap you and probe you okay ?

Someone mentioned something about androids ability to migrate to the newer versions via updates. Thats nice but you see, nokia has been doing updates with their phones for years now. My phone for instance with the updates gained nice additions like kinetic scrolling that works across everything on the phone, swipe to answer or reject a call, phone became faster and more responsive...just name a few. Nokia with QT now can migrate to newer versions altogether but they know that there are limitations to this. They would hence most likely design newer programs to work with the older version but would leave out certain aspects due to limitations. Symbian ^3 may never for this reason be called ^4 in the N8 but with updates may have the very same features as ^4. May just be called ^3v1.0.
BTW, Wheez, you doing a great job with fighting off these guys. We are all here and we fully support you in every way. We may not be answering but we are here. Keep it up.

[deleted post]i agree with u n not to forget android is very new n it will get better n better in future n thats y i said early that symbian is a dying breed n only nokia is supporting it n every other company has abandoned it

you can't go wrong with either N8 or E7 as both are of good quality.

The worse you could do is respond to those posts. Best you can do is only respond to posts that seem serious. I think people who want to have serious discussions know which posts to take seriously.

have u heard of one finger zoom application which SE is working on n i think that is way better than multitouch n much easier.
SE has not announced that x10 wont get froyo.....even if froyo doesnt comes to x10 so what??? i think x10 is still a much better device than nokia n8 now even with 1.6 OS n with 2.1 n hd video recording things will get better n better n remember xperia x10 was released in march n i think xperia x10 should not be compared with nokia n8 as nokia n8 is a symbian device n that is its biggest drawback

i would not say i was a nokia fan but more of an symbian fan buts thats more because thats is the os that i am used to but have to admit that other os are faster and maybe smoother than the n8 from what i have seen on demo's but the n8 is still for me because it has a 12 meg camera with a Xenon flash and i also like the hdmi output which will come in handy so for being a split second slower maybe on an app opening i still think it the best all rounder smart phone available
