Emix, 01 Oct 2010Wheeze how u lock and unlock N8? There is no side slide button anymore?As Ali wrote below me, the physical unlock slider is still there. You can also press the home/symbian/whatever button and then tap on "Open" button that pops un on the screen to unlock.
But I havn't come across a single "command" in the phones usage that required the sliding we've seen on earlier models. Naturally theres lots of thing you swipe in the screen, but not like "slide to fill this bar to do .

i wish zipmanager and unrar are avaliable through ovi store ,they are the most important applications,so i do what i like through my phone and no need pc. Second i wish there is no stupid games or apps preinstuld ,and eat the memory for useless they can offer them on ovi store and we can choose

There is no side slide button anymore?i think he means "slide" as in, when the mobile is locked and u receive a call, u see those green and red "sliders" that goes right, and left, and u have to slide the green to ans, or slide the red the other direction to close
the "side slider" at the phone's left should be still there to lock and unlock the screen

The Skype app can be found in the OVI store for ... moreI would like to appreciate your patience/efforts for answering all the quires thrown to you by prospective N8 buyers (like me). It helps immensely to decide before buying new products like this. I am a Nokia myself and they have done a good job in India by having good phones from basic model to smartphones like N8 rather than Apple who cares about only rich ppl (I am not a Apple hater either coz I own Mac Book Pro & Ipod touch which are good products, but I feel paying 50K-60K for Iphone 4 is not worth). I believe N8 is a good product with better features than iPhone.
I definitely gonna buy N8.

It's basicall two boxes wiht accept and reject. I'm not sure of the locked mode. I will try this in few hours when my fiancee gets home and I can call myself from her phone.

The default settings have the pictures taken with 9mpix, that means I could've had 3 megapixels more into those photos!

And downloading contacts from Face book ?I'm sorry, I don't use social networks myself but it's been getting quite abit of good words in earlier reviews.
As for the camera, I did try to press it halfway down first to focus it. There are plenty of other sites with way more photos (and better shooters), maybe try looking at them. I think there was 75 photos from London some pages back, try looking for them.
