Just before taking a snap with flash, make sure that you've wiped the glass with something soft (back of your t-shirt or something) and the flash to. You can blow some air on it to, for removing (in case their is) the specks of dust. If your camera is greasy and is hard to clean, just use window solution on some Cotton swabs, or use wet napkins special for cleaning glasses (this napkins will not leave spots)

Hello Every One
I got this Device Really Good device ROcking performer of Nokia Proud To be a N8 User
But I got an issue with the camera When I click pics in night small small white spots appear after the pic is processed
Please help

bought my n8 when it jus came out in 2010.all i can say is nokia you are tops.and my n8 is still going strong can still get 2 days on charge,and the picture quality is the best with 12 mp at your bisposal,its great.thanks nokia

wow.. almost one hour of net usage here n there...5-6 clicks... nearly 1.30 hrs talking...n 15min of music listening n the battery is able to almost complete 2 days on one full charge...nice ..really nice,love my n8

Finally got one yesterday (I'm not rich so it took some saving and a lot of searching, especially here in Croatia it's hard to find at a fair price), in pretty good condition. A bit battered and bruised but working perfectly. Could have afforded an used single-core Android or iPhone 3GS but I wanted this one as it suits my needs best. Good times ahead!

There is no problem upgrading it. To upgrade use Nokia suite, you can downloade it from here: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/n8-00/downloads/
After installing, just plug your phone in your usb and follow the instructions, then wait for it to install everything it needs. After that just hit software update (the last but one green icon, from upper program). From there, just follow the instructions.

Nokia N8, still using it in March 2013. It's 3 year-old technology but it still is the best phone I can find out there. No need to replace it any time soon.
I hate that you can't change the battery without this special screwdriver, but now that I have, it should work for another couple of years. I can't find another phone out there that has all these features:
FM Receiver AND Transmitter
12 megapixel camera (8 is probably enough for me, but anyway)
microSD card slot
Maps and navigation that work offline without a dataplan!
A low-power mode that shows you a clock when it is locked in standby!
Alarm clock works even when the phone is switched off.
If you compare it to the new BB10, the CPU is a bit slow, the main UI is not as flashy... There is not as much RAM... But it is still the one device I want to keep on me at all times. Best camera. Best Phone. Best Alarm Clock. Radio Transmitter. Excellent Maps/Navigation.
And while the apps you can get for it are all different, there are quite a lot of apps available on the nokia store.

what a device..my search for a cmplete phone ended with the bful n8, all fine, screen,camera,weight,battey,sound,touch,net,looks..... Grreat phn... M a symbianite..so love my dark grey n8... U rock(ed) nokia...before u left the symbian doors n got stuck in WINDOWS....
