Anonymous, 25 Sep 2010It depends on sound chips on the device largely. You won't get decent sound from HTC hero even... moreRight, but does somebody who doesnt do that for living hear a difference?
I probably won't, I listen to music always with my laptops default speakers, thus usually I don't even hear a bass, so no matter what device/headphone combo I use, the quality is like "omgwtf" :D
But thanks for your input, as said i'm definitely not a hifi guy myself.

You won't get decent sound from HTC hero even if u use 500pounds headphones. I am professional sound engineer. Iphone by today standard has best audio output. It is crisp and clear
Wheez, 24 Sep 2010Finland.Have you tried listening music thru its speaker? How's that, the so called boosted D-class mono speaker that can be compare to stereo speakers?
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2010Hey wheez, can u tell me about the sound quality of N8 through headsets ?Havn't tried, but I'd guess the sound quality through headphones is most dependant on the headphones, not the mobile phone. I'm not much of a hifi guy myself, though :D
[deleted post]I have nothing against HTCs and don't mind conversation if it has something to do with the N8 as well, but that advertising belongs on the HTC pages, not here.
[deleted post]Is it has native DivX/Xvid support on the board? Else we need to download via third party apps providers?
Wheez, 24 Sep 2010It's quiet in here, everybody is having a life on friday evening, shocker! :D
I like how th... moreThis is my life until I get my hands on the phone!!
But yeah I'm going out later, its only 19:15 (UK)

I like how the daily interest has grown back to 80%, it went from 95% to 67% or so when E7 and C7 were announced at Nokia world.
I work for telecom giant in the caribbean and I get half off on all handsets. I decided to try the bold 9700 if i dont like it I will pass it on to my girlfriend and purchase the N8 when it is finally released.
I always use nokia because of the build quality and the support I have received. If it aint broke why fix it? so I dont wanna change and try other manufacturers only to be dissapointed. My last phone was a nokia E63 but my girlfriend kept begging so I gave it to her hopeing to get the N8 september month end. in the mean time i have been using a samsung b130 as a temp. but that cant cut it anymore i need a smart phone.
So i closed my eyes and bought the blackberry. maybe around Christmas I will buy Nokia flagship or try the new windows or android, it all depends on this site reviews and most important the user reviews.
but rom, ram and processor cud be better.
I mean 512 MB RAM, 1 or 2 GB ROM and ARM 1GHz processor.
super amoled instead of amoled wud be great (thanks God its not resistive :)
love everything else though.
Not sure if symbian 3 will play the magic until its mature and think of it if the phone is hanged due to this, you can not just open the rear to pull the battery which sounds horrible (Nokia, are u gonna make symbian 3 really bug free?)
Gorilla glass is good and i wish this is not like other brands offering 30 times stronger than plastic glass and still scratched and broken easily.
all type of connectivity (IR is kinda obsolete in phones so doesn't count) v3.0 blutooth and especially USB On-the-go support is kool.
Camera: simply the best and good part is its with 1/1.83'' sensor and xenon which i love :>
FM transmitter+ HDMI + Anodized aluminum casing and guys much more make this phone a great deal.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY.
Ahmm btw i wud wait for a better processor+rom+ram
I wanted to buy a phone but I havent just because of N8 since april, just waiting for it ! I can wait for it till november, seems too hard but itz ok
[deleted post]So ? The guy was here almost everyday, clearing others' doubts/queries and defending nokia in case some disoriented blokes took shots at it. He got frustrated. Anyway meh.
chiensal, 24 Sep 2010Sorry nokia I could not wait any longer I went out today and bought a phone. It should have be... moreWell, they were sort of forced to announce the N8 after that idiot Eldar guy made that "review". Originally the N8 was planned for summer but cos Symbian^3 needed more work that didn't happen, however that was so early in the production that I don't really consider that as a delay. The first delay (if we dont count the original one) was this. Apart from that "summer" it has all the time been supposed to come end of september, which still holds true for early pre-orderers.
They didn't really delay it more than once, if you ask me and even that delay doesn't hold true for everyone, not to mention that day still hasn't even passed.
Either way, good luck with whatever phone you ended up buying.
Waited long for this handset... and hence bought new samsung handset. nokia ur loosing your loyal customerts.........for long.
Sorry nokia I could not wait any longer I went out today and bought a phone. It should have been the N8 but too many delays I could not wait any longer. I needed a phone since last month. bye. If this is how you do business in such a competitive market then good luck. HTC just announced two new phones which will be realesed in one month time. take note Nokia. you announce then realese you dont announce then delay then delay then delay then release.
