i want a fast phone, but i dont need the "fastest" phone..

Where i live all magazines write, the news make it much bigger than its really is, and what iv been reading, no-one having call drops and things like that.
Including me was little bit afraid to buy one, but i saw all the antenna problen hype was just a big hype, phone works great. yes it might drop bar or two, but it doesnt have any effect, all my phones has done that, by the way i watched one n8 video where he has full bars, and when he hold it on hand it drops to 1 bar, it just how phones works

samsung galaxy is using ARM8/wave using ARM8, apple has used ARM11 2 years ago (3g), 3gs use ARM8 and the newest used something else
I think any new hi-end phone dont use ARM11 anymore except N8

I hate to see the voting system like this! If you'll notice its 8.1 8.2 8.1 It's never been released yet. It has the extraordinary features which will not be found in other phones!

You know there is really no problem with ARM 11 range of processors. Actually ARM 11 is the most used in all smartphones (for example Nokias, Apple Iphones, Samsung etc.)For all I know, Nokia N8 has the ARM 11 680 mhz processor which is quite enough. I had my Nokia E71 that runs smoothly with ARM 11 369 mhz and 128 MB ram. While Nokia E72 is equipped with ARM 11 600 mhz and still 128 MB ram which is really a hit phone. Now here is the Symbian^3 which is known to be more user-friendly, multiple homescreens added, widgets, and less battery hungry. This has 1200 mah battey but it has an impressive hours of music play which is 50 hours. Then a talk time of 12 hours and 30 minutes of talk for 2G network. This is quite better from the Nokia N97 and Nokia N900.

HOPING and PRAYING nokia will step out of aging arm11 processors and proceed to arm cortex A8 (even though A8 is already in the process of aging because of the shipments of arm cortex A9 this year to manufacturers)

guest, 17 Sep 2010Don't forget Iphone4 has GPU tooNot a dedicated one, afaik. Its a System On Chip integrated gpu. Iphones though actually use it to draw UI, android cant do that, atleast yet. Naturally, a dedicated is more powerful than integrated. As for me preferring n8 web browsing over n900 was mainly due to n8 being faster and alot more better touchscreen. But the higher reso didnt make any positive change compared to the lower res n8. Was using the default browsers in both

I think Nokia should develop Maemo as a main choice for all Nokia's operating system. N900 has proved it self as a qualified & guaranted handset. I've used it & it's very ok. But I agree if Nokia must upgrade their battery capacity so their handset will be more mobile. At least 1500 mAh for smartphone & more is better.
