It is precisely these kind of small things that make Nokia look behind when people are comparing their phones against the competetion. I want nokia functionality WITH eye candy!!!

Dwane, 14 Sep 2010When you did the pinch zoom on your little play with it was the check board affect still there?Yea the checkerboard is there. I dont see it as a bad thing cos it still shows what u had in the screen previously, so its easy to see the scale. Checkerboarding the rest is easier cos the phone doesnt have to render all the time.

the E7 packs a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor :( but they have enough cons to make me not change my mind also enough pros to still stick with n8..
Reasons I wanna buy E7 -
-4" display
-1GHz processor
-1GB ROM
Reasons why I'll most probably go for N8 -
-E7 has 360 x 640 resolution, that's pathetic for 4"
-N8 has better camera
-E7 will be too expensive I think
but now m so confused which one to buy, the N8 or E7 :(

nokia played it smart with this phone. it certainly doesn't need the battery guzzling 1ghz for the apps and games that currently service portable phones right now... people are all hyped up and overblowing the situation wtih tech specs

As I assume, "perfect" cant be just 1/2 an inch away from "very low". :)

I am just mentioning my opinion nothing personal I have used all these sets for few days what I feel which I want to share with you might help u all who are deciding to purchase these sets
Galaxy S I9000, I phone 4g and Nokia amazing N8
BUILT QUALITY:
If you want graceful set in terms of look than surely go for N8 don’t think even total scratch less feel amazing when held in hand u will really love it.
On the other hand I phone is also quite amazing but not good as N8.
Samsung galaxy is not even in the picture when you compare these sets all dam plastic. But it doesn’t means that it will break or some what will happen after few days nothing such only plastic and if u compare these three sets it is a loser
My rating will be as
N8 10/10 Galaxy 6/10 I phone 9/10
CAMERA:
No comments on this topic N8 is only in the race even SE sets can’t go with this set.
N8 10/10 I phone 5/10 Galaxy 6/10
DISPLAY:
Samsung is the real leader in terms of display and here also win the race Galaxy is really on top of both set 4-inch display I really love it. As said no nothing personal nokia or iphone cant come close to it
N8 8/10 I phone 8/10 Galaxy 10/10
SOUND:
Nothing major the difference I feel so no comments no rating.
DATA:
On the go does not matter when u have so much internal memory and memory card also can be used. Otherwise all are equal nokia will have the edge for having USB otg
SPEED:
Surely Samsung is on the top because of its speed and overall performance it does not means that nokia is not lagging because of its hardware capacity it is because of software it is just to run Win 95 on ur core duo pc. And Samsung have so much load on it of his software that’s why it is lagging little sure it will be fixed in next few months through software updation apple is also good but not as Samsung here.
N8 6/10 Galaxy 9/10 Apple 8/10
Software of apple are very costly that’s why never interested nokia software are very cheap and found very easily and with Samsung no problem really preloaded with lot of software amazing
My personal favour goes to the Samsung
Please not think I am biased it are the facts Samsung even being so be it is really simple to handle and operate with one hand.

I for one am into the whole camera thing so trying to get a video of nokia world showing N8.

E-7 has 4" display but..the resolution is the same; so, that's a bad thing. On a 3,5" a picture looks better than on a 4" display.
But even that, I'm not so sure that I want N8..E-7 is very good too.

And another "plus" for N8, is the price. E-7 costs 500 euros.

Apart from the Camera (It still does good with 8mp btw), everything looks the same + bigger screen and a physical qwerty keyboard (personal preference it is).
Anyone ?
