This baby here has done it's job. Ok, if you are not into speed browsing and into 7 million apps and you can purchase it at a reasonable price. I would say GO FOR IT. If you are not into camera to much, go for 701 (is a very nice device and it's faster). If you are into camera and don't have so much money to go for 808(or you don't like it's design), then do what you like to do:). As someone here said: It is not a speed demon. But it has whatever you need, overall it is a good quality full of multimedia functions smartphone.

The battery life is excellent compared to other smart phones, camera is still probably in top 5 of all time for phones & it's built to last. The built-in fm transmitter is one of the coolest features you can have if you're a music fanatic (as I am); and the ability to expand your memory with micro sd card up to total of 48gb means you can have almost your entire music collection on the go. No need for ipod's, etc.
The only problem I have with it is the fact Skype does not support video call feature on its operating system, which renders front camera redundant/useless.

HI frnds, I bought the Nokia N8 on 2nd dec, 2010.
Till date I couldnt find a single problem in this phone & battery is very good upto 1.5yr. Sure there is smart phone give u a long battery, but today there is many more phone, but still I feel proud to be a owner of Nokia N8(subrat,khurda)

Leejohn, 29 Jan 2013Is it a good idea to buy this phone in 2013 ?Hello my friend, with N8 (as value for money) you get the optimum, specially if you get one "made in Finland". Its a machine and has xllent quality. As i saw in gsmarena tests even the lumias dont have xllent telephony performances, as N8 has!!! Now if you are able to spend more money, go for 808 pureview.
