Good God pleaaaaase all of you iPhone and Samsung fans stop spoiling our N8 page here and go to your own pages.

We all agree that the iPhone is best at what it's designed for. We also agree that the N8 is best at what it's designed for.

The iPhone is really good at looking slick with a superbly smooth and responsive interface. It has loads of apps that are really fun look very very nice. This is why it's so popular, it's the IDEAL show off device for all of your friends. Its a fun phone and at the same time a fantastic audio player and although it's soo expensive here in Belgium (750 euros for 32GB, thats 960 freakin' dollars! or 830 DOLLARS for the 16GB) it still has loads of succes with al the people who are willing to spend this amount of mony on a device that gives them everything THEY want, and that's a lot of people. Of course the nice white Apple symbol has its status, making it even more wanted.

But then there is another public for the N8. The people who are getting the N8 are looking for the best SMARTPHONE around. This means a fully functioning OS offering an experience as close as possible to the experience you have on a computer. This is undoubtedly the N8 simply because it can do so much. All of the iPhone fans do not understand this because everything the N8 has more to offer, they don't want/need. And I understand this fully. I had a 5800 before my iPhone 3GS and surely, the iPhone 3GS is the phone I had the longest in my whole life (14 months!!! and normally i change phone EVERY 6 months since I was 14, its a routine) by now I'm completely bored with it. Its so fun to play with and to show of. It absolutely has qualities the N8 will never have but at one point, I just stopped caring because it offered my so many limitations, things I CAN do on my 5800. This is why I want to go back to Symbian, offering me once again the most computerlike features EVER found on a smartphone. It doesn't always look like the iPhone, and it isn't always as snappy or as smooth as the iPhone but I don't care, just like the iPhone fans don't care about the computerlike experience, they just want what the iPhone has to offer, it's like candy for a baby for them, just like the N8 is candy like a baby for us Nokia fanboys ;-)

can't we just all agree on this please, and if not, just stay away from this page. Sure I want to reach the 5.000.000 daily interests but I don't want it to be because of Nokia bashers

to all those who think N8 is underpowered, use this logic.
Lotus exige (only 1.8l engine) vs mercedes Hummer H1 (6.0l engine), lotus will lap faster than humvee why?koz its lighter
same logic for symbian vs other OS's
so for symbian MHz and Mb are Relative!

mohd, 03 Sep 2010great phone but -low mhz -low capacityRemember that the Mhz aint everything, since the N8 has a GPU thus hardware 3D acceleration that takes alot of strain off the CPU.

Also the Symbian is quite abit lighter than Android, for example.

Wheez, 03 Sep 2010Few relatively new videos that show pretty up to date software and generally speaking showing ... moreLooking real good, somewhy though the video and picture editor seems laggy, which seems that the "application" have been coded badly, cos the phone doesnt seem to lag anywhere else but in those two things.

I'd somewhat understand it if you were like mid-editing a video, but you can clearly see the lower FPS when he opens the video editor and the menu comes out abit laggy, same with the pic editor.

But apart from that, real smooth.

The Nokia N8 has a USB OTG (On-The-Go) which means that you can connect pendrives or small hardrives via the microUSB-USB cable to the Phone. Here is a video in which a Pen Drive is connected to the phone and also another phone a Nokia C5 and both show up as Mass Storage within the FileManager . Pretty Cool eh ?

It's about the Nokia N8, please discuss that elsewhere.

JZ, 03 Sep 2010N8 supports asian fonts for email? Korean and Chinese? Most likely, as the Beijing factory will be making the N8s for asian markets, would make no sense for them to be included :D

RONALD, 03 Sep 2010This is hidden worrying point of Nokia n8 ?Also, if it was a worrying point or simply a downside of the phone, all the prototype reviewers would've probably said something about it.

So far I havn't at least found any complaints of the battery

RONALD, 03 Sep 2010This is hidden worrying point of Nokia n8 ?I'm personally not exactly worried about it. The symbian is very light and a mature OS compared to alternatives, this combined with lesser, underclocked specs, it should be just fine
