Nokia India has said that N8 scheduled for a mid September launch so far...
While C3 is expected to be in stores by mid September.

whynare people commenging on lack of lens cover? No other camera phone has it other than some select nokias and SE in the past!
Samsungs, apples, oranges never had a lens cover on there camera smartphones!
Besides i prefer if a camerafone doesnt have lens cover, makes it easier & quicker to use.
There are more advantages to NOT having camera cover than to have it! Read 'damian dinnings interview' he answers all these questions and more!

I am from Sydney and have recently posted this question on this forum, with no response.
I spoke to Vodafone last week and they said that it should be in their offering sometime in September, but couldnt give me an exact date.
Have you tried asking Nokia ?
I went to the Ozzie website and was given an option to register my interest in being notified when it is available but still havent got anything back.
They are really frustrating alot of ppl.

maybe in 20~30 years you can play gta4-like games by then
nobody knows, look at the phones released in 1990s doesn't even support basic colored games but now we play asphalt/fifa/nfs even all sega/nes/snes games which one day has it's own console system now playable on a phone
this is the beauty of technology that advances beyond imagination.

Gideon, 30 Aug 2010Does the N8 have offline navigation?yes offline sat-nav as long as u don't turn on A-GPS which consumes data to find ur location faster. otherwise it's a perfectly capable sat-nav unit---might even be better thanks to wifi positioning-->new feature :)on n8

[deleted post]completely true that megapixel don't mean better quality, but no way in he// can a 1.3 megapixel cam match the quality of a 5 megapixel no matter how good the lens quality is or how big the sensor is...there are just not enough pixels to creat a detailed image especially if u zoom or crop it. And the N8 got what it take...big sensor, pixel counts, excellent lense, xenon flash...

today, the 31st of august was supposed to be the realease date for this mobile according to earlier posts....:S...there is no exact release date announced yet..(as far as i know)...if anyone has any info regarding the realease date, please do reply...:)!!

N8 have many problems 1- there is no lens cover for the camera - 2- mono loudspeaker which meen low loudness - 3-if it doesn't play avi it meens it is the end for me to buy this phone .

Both have great camer... moreso thats what u want os u can hack ... did u thought of an os u could tweak and put all appl. instead of hacking ..! it would be great to have the great n8 camera and HDMI with android !
anyway am buying one cuz i love taking shots thats why am using pixon12 but am sure the n8 is a better imaging device

Itz just ur thinking bcuz ur cheap galaxy do... morelisten ! i have a pixon12 from a year now ! so shu*t the he*ll up ! u dont even seem u know the difference between a symbian and android or even ios !! so dont talk what u dont know u little stup*id girl
