I think this phone will raise the bar for smartphones. It scores all the right features and does not rely on marketing bubbles, like those good for nothing mobile phone operating systems, which the media are so desperately trying to convince us we need.
A good looking, sturdy, well built smartphone with a great camera and connectivity features. Thank you Nokia!

Aplle,Nokia,Samsung or Blackberry....The winner will be who gonna listen ti his costumers.
[deleted post]I'm a fun and longtime user of Nokia and I switched to galaxy vibrant...amazing using this phone...
I wait long for Nokia N8, but we must see it , try it and then.
Nokia give enough time to competition and stack with slow processors and symbian problems.
Try a galaxy's smartphone and you gonna see.
Before I was hating samsung design and particular standards but now, they make nice devices.
n8
pros
has 12MP with xenon flash
16internal memory
USB Connector
Dolby sorround in tv out not in speaker phone
cons
Has low 685processor
Symbian OS
No Videolights
[deleted post]bluetooth v3, n wifi, free ovi maps and the fact that i can drag and drop things on to it without the need for itunes. all sounds pretty good to me.
[deleted post]It's a bad place to ask, cos most people here are most interested in the N8, personally N8 fits me the best, so I'm getting that.
It might be different for you. Just look for videos in youtube and try to make up your mind. Remember though that most videos about the N8 are like 2 months old and are showing an early prototype build of the phone and Symbian^3, try looking for the newer videos in the N8s case or the watch the old ones knowing that it works faster than in the videos.

Not to mention that there arn't all that many ways to make a device like that look different from the rest.
very close to 4 million.
It will have more and more after release.
wellcome back Nokia, xenon blic finally
I think sonyericsons satios degine is too much parfect then this...........but the facility of nokia symbian vs3os is nt suitable on this costly set......that is the point which disapointed me on the other hand...it also stole the desgine of lg cooki pep...i think u all also agreed with me
[deleted post]Having used one myself, I felt no slowness (it was a very recent build) or hanging.
Also in most of the youtube videos that aren't more than a month old, the N8 works very fluidly. The 2-3 month old prototype videos are slow and sometimes hang yes, but it's a whole different story with the current build.
[deleted post]okay mate so they told in confidence did they. So how do you no u freak let me guess you no people. Get a grip. so wot u got an iphone or sheap plastic shammy sung
Kamal Kumar K, 19 Aug 2010Processor 680??? its 1Ghz days.... Also, the faster the CPU, the more power the phone will eat.
That's why it's not simply worth it to throw in a 1Ghz CPU just for the sake of it (if it's not required to run the phone), cos all you get in return is worse battery life.
Kamal Kumar K, 19 Aug 2010Processor 680??? its 1Ghz days.... 680Mhz is sufficient cos it's running on Symbian that is alot lighter than the Android and cos it's GPU accelerated and alot of the strain is moved on the GPU instead of the CPU.
Raw numbers don't tell all that much when it comes to mobile phones.
