Question for GSMArena team : are you sure about the fact that N8 plays WMV files (as written in your site under N8 specs) ?
I can't seem to find this specification on the Nokia official page of the N8, where there are listed as supported playback video codecs only H.264, MPEG-4, VC-1, Sorenson Spark and Real video 10.

[deleted post]guru i think your the person that needs help. you dont like things that are succesful. things are succesful for a reason if there good and reliable. wich the n8 will be and i dont think you speak for all indians whith that statement.

Engineer, 16 Aug 2010I could tell you many stories about terrible Nokia support, especially with their buggy softwa... morelook who is telling about support..samsung is the worst customer support..i like motorola..but samsung release phones everymonth and they forgets immeduately..i used to use nokia earlier but customer support is very good..now i own htc desire..i liked all my nokia and now htc..will never buy samsung due to lack of software support..my friends who own galaxy s has problem with KIES and gps..i noticed it lags sometimes. only screen is amazing..nothing else

N8 is the Most popular phone even itz not released yet :) ! U say itz outdated or watever,doesnt matter because itz gonna b a very huge success! It ll b so popular and it means more people will love N8 than any other phone,so keep ur useless opinions for urself and get kindly stay away from N8 (forum) :p

people that slag of the nokia are clearly just unhappy with the own phone. n8 isnt out yet so i dont were people get the crap from thats not guna be good. people with exsisting nokias are obviously happy or they woudnt want the n8. so were luaghing at you. (apple)!

wat would suck is the browsers experience :(
also, symbain have "Few" high quality apps, but even those aint as polished as their counterparts in andriod/IOS
i dont want to buy the phone at august, and wait till November for the new browser and Qt apps...
however that camera/xenon and the sexy robust body keeps me attached, i dunno , would be a really hard choice :(
and i dont want to wait till the N9 is announced, then till the N9 is available at Finland and finally till the N9 is shipped to ma country(so in short a year from now)..
i mean even the galaxy s didnt reach here yet :(
too bad there aint a gsm sumsung epic :(

my rants point is, nokia is being a bit slow, and far behind when it comes to a good browser experience( apart from N900 ofcourse)

Most people waiting for the N8 are using (or have used) previous Nokia models and are obviously relatively happy with them or they wouldn't even be interested in a new Nokia. I am using my N95 8gb (which doesn't even support widgets)and I still love it so this N8 can only be better. Although this will be my first touch screen phone so might take some getting used to.
Please please please let this be released end of this month.
When it is released will it be available from vodaphone etc subsidised by a contract? or will it be only available just to buy without sim on the release date?

[deleted post]Nokia employees are desperatly trying to make their latest phone N8 seem better than it really is on every forum on Internet because they know N8 can not compete with the more modern phones from HTC and Samsung. We are many who have used Nokias phones but been disapointed over the fact that they were not even nearly as god as "everobody" said on Internet. Symbian is an outdated OS and Nokia should have used their linux-version Meego, just as Android is a linux-version, and Nokias batteries have always been, and still is in N8, to small and the phone not really "mobile".

when did this outdated n8 release..? i ask the nokia how they send their 800cc(n8)car to formula 1 without any sense.indian mobile market already goes to samsung with their medium and higher end touch screen. here nokia means hanging+outdated+overpricing+useless.

Preorder rate is 459euro,so actual price in the market wont b more than 450euro ! I think it will b 400euro !
