I am looking forward to MeeGo.. coz i am a nokia person from ma very 1st phone which was nokia n70.
Symbian is already being pushed back to the midsection coz nokia realised that flagships are not gonna shine anymore on symbian.. (read nokia n97.. Lol)
By the time nokia releases n9, this would be another camera phone with a big sensor. But i am still with nokia, just dont approve the symbian treatment they gave Nokia n8. Else its one awesome device. Should have gone symbian 3 for something more budget oriented like c6 and left something so beautiful to MeeGo..
Or maybe it aint ready yet.. I dont think nokia would release official update for MeeGo in n8. But i do pray that custom ROMs surface soon enuff..

I was checking some of the older nokias and I was wondering why nokia was always using the same processor with the same ram and basically the same hardware but just kept rebadging it into a different package and then sell it.
Is this a strategy or did all those phones really had something different between them?

Ryan do you type your comments blindly??? I just said im a nokia fanboy but not a blind one! And i said i have an e90! Why the hell do you think i have an iphone?? I hate that overpriced piece of shit that cant multitask jack and needs a $2 bumper case to a make a $800 phone to make a call properly! Dude your weird! I want the N8 as much as any nokia enthusiast and i agree wit you, the N8 is going to be one hell of a device but maybe not as revolutionary and epic as the N95۔1(god i love that phone till to date) but still going to be one cracker of a device and im most likely going to get the N8.

Dude i cant beleive your calling symbian crap, itz the best multitasking platform for years!!! N97 was just a 5800 with a 32gb storage and a larger screen, physical keyboard and 5 megapixel camera and nokia made all these improvements and forgot about the processor and . Look in gsmarenas review for 5800 and n97 and you shall see why 5800 would be predicted a success while n97 would be predicted as a failure. Its because 5800 was cheap and people would forgive many of its mistakes since nokia had rentered the touchscreen area after a long time but they used the same interface with the n97 with making any updates to it and since n97 was highly expensive and with such problems people dint like it. im a nokia fanboy and Ive been using an e90 for the last 2 years and its processor and ram specs are similar to a n95 8gb and my phone has never crashed on me once! I listen music, run an anti virus in the background all the time, type in quickoffice continuosly while surfing the net and it never slows down. Oh and i also skype regularly at the same time. Not a single lag or pause! Thats what you call symbian multitasking!
oh and to ALUI i really would like to see the difference of viewing the android market from an android phone. I just hope the difference of viewing the android market with an android phone with a Super amoled screen (I9000 galaxy s or wave) is not the difference your talking about! cheers!

Symbian doesn't need 512mb ram 1 ghz prossesor??
Just look how crappy it runs on lesser hardware. If anything symbian is the only OS that needs better and faster hardware then their competitors. Look how slow it is on phones like n97, vivaz and the n8.

nokia n8 looks the best in black color
well balanced phone, i hope the speaker is as strong as n96
music quality is as good as 5800
am i asking too much?
I want meego phone to be in candy bar form and without front buttons
better res than n900 or equal
in short remove the n900 keyboard and make the display screen area bigger

why symbian doesnt need high features as 512 ram 1 ghz prossesor while other os*s need these things? is symbain always magic even if new symbian 3 ,4 or whaever! i think meego wont need high features aswell coz it will be nokia at most.

Look on the Android Market from an Android phone, not form a computer and you'll see the difference.

That was precisely the reason Nokia decided to not make any more N-series devices sporting symbian.
Because it has no bugs, its Super fast, its fluid, user friendly and innovative !! And Nokia knows nobody wants to have all that on their phones !!

Why the hell do people keep posting comments regarding the 680mhz processor and the 256mb ram!! Symbian doesnt need so much power, whether it has 256mb, 512mb or 1gb of ram it will still perform the same. Its like a computer with windows 7, with 2gb and one with 8gb ram still perform the same as long as you dont multitask monstrously! And unlike samsung who bring new phones every other month making you feel what you bought is obsolete, nokia doesnt do this and besides i dont know whats the big deal about android, i was checking the apps on the android market and they are soooo crap asin seriously! And please dont mention bada os, its lyk a iphone ios copycat and so is most of samsungs touchscreens like the I9000 galaxy s and the wave.

if nokia waiting for next device to b 1ghz processor ,512 ram wvga 1500 battery it will b mid range then becose all high end device have all these feaures already. nokia willl lost the market if they doesnt upgrade hardware and software for n8 befor it hits shelves. U r so late nokia ! U should realise meego nowadays. Regards.
