Nokia PLEASE raise the video bitrate to the HIGHEST possible. If sensor and optics are great this is the most important thing left. THIS is what can make this phone stand out. 100% sure. 9Mb/s will have a lot of compression artifacts and footage will fall apart sooner and especially after Youtube re-compression. You don't have a higher end video market to protect, so if it is possible allow greater bitrates. If recording time is a priority, just allow compression options (9/18/32/64 Mbs).

fungie..?///, 04 Aug 2010 yahooow..!!! where batery slot for Nokia N8..???Battery is (normally) not user removable in N8. You have to use a T5 or T6 screwdriver to remove it. It's a design decision made by nokia to avoid problems.

Too bad they only sold 100 000 nokia n900 in 6 months :D
I had one and returned it in 6 days because I realized what an overpriced underfeatured phone it was. Nokia left it dead in the water. It won't be upgraded to MeeGo. Unless you wanna risk your warranty and flash it yourself.

Symbian is pushed to mid section because nokia has a new OS in mind for the high end phones. If you know nokia, u would also know that nokia takes it slow and steady. Ever heard of the name MeeGo??
It would be a worthy opponent to Android when it comes out.
Wanna know nokia's investment in linux OS before? Type in "Nokia n900" in the search and see how it kicked the shit outta every phone out there when it was launched. Yes, i agree its outdated right now and no match for Froyo, but when MeeGo comes out, its gonna give even Gingerbread a run for its money...

nokia n8 vs samsung waveI think Bada OS with TouchWiz 3 is much better than symbian 3. Nokia said this will be their last flagship phone with symbian. So N8's OS is dead on arrival. What a great idea to announce it, nokia! xD
Basa is more stable and the UI (TouchWiz 3) is nice and useful.
Samsung's marketplace is steadily growing by the way. there are about 600 apps already. Perhaps Bada OS will be competitive after all :D

How are you finding your wave btw ? (Perhaps not the... moreWhen I bought the phone I knew its only limitation. I knew that the OS was new and there weren't many apps available. But Galaxy S costs 100€ more that wave and it doesn't have LED Flash. I played with a lot of apps on my N95 and it seemed a little boring. I have a laptop as my primary mobile device and I seldom use my smartphone to browse the internet. I needed a good Music player, video player and a top notch camera with flash and video light. The hardware is top. It's almost the same hardware as on the Iphone plus SuperAMOLED minus girosensor minus high definition.
For the price, 350€-400€, it's the best value for money on the market. You should read the review and decide if it meets your needs. I certainly don't regret buying this phone.
N8 looks good btw. Too bad it's 450+ € after the tax.
