please help me about my problem ..Last day I was upgrade my nokia n8 to belle refresh but after the grading complete I cant make any call and cant able to receive any call...also I establish my internet connection ... please admin on that site help me about this or some one help me for solve my problem ..

i want to ask you something regarding OS. I've heard something, but you also 2 o... moreHey, i have a theory regarding maemo and android. Anyway, let's start with the first of the first. And that was Nokia 770 running maemo 2, back then was known as OS2005 to, which was a Linux based mobile system. 770 is just an touchscreen internet tablet. Indeed, the first maemo smartphone was n900, but let's not forget that it has 90% same OS as 800, 810 or 770 (i say 90% cause maemo 5 has some UI and some other changes), which are older then ios or android. Nokia had a good plan some time ago, to slowly switch to maemo, that was a very promising OS for the future. Of course, to hold on Symbian to, for some years. But they failed. Now, about Android. This is just my conspiracy about things that happened:) I can say, that Google saw an opportunity in Maemo some time ago, and started to create a system that took a bit from every system that was out there: a bit from Symbian, a bit from Maemo a bit more from blackberry but with a Linux based core. Yes, android is a Linux based system. And i don't think this is just a coincidence. After Nokia stupidity and trashy management, Android kicked the market with stolen ideas that Nokia should enter the market. But cause they were to dumb to do that, they got "swollen lip". So after years of market study and investing in new things Nokia got as* kicked BIG TIME by a bunch of newbies copycats and their mixed messy system. Just take a look at some maemo on internet and you will see mrs. droid there trying to get out and make some money. Is Android a full maemo copy? Nope. Let's say it is "inspired" from everything was out there at the time of manufacturing. Stole Google others ideas, investment and innovations? I say definitely! To develop a system is not a 1 year investment from a bunch of schoolboys. Nokia invested years and years in this system, and when was ready to hit the market they just hold it back and pushed Symbian with low specs. Google jumped out of the bush with a "Frankenstein" system and got lucky. You know, is like cheating at a test and get better scores then the one you copied from:)). But this is the way things work in this world.
Also, this is only what i think...
To answer your other question. The relation between Maemo, MeeGo and Android with linux is KIND of the same as is Windows PHone 8 with Windows 8, ok maybe not Quite:P, but you get the picture. They are all Linux based systems (more or less).

Hi Carol,
i want to ask you something regarding OS. I've heard something, but you also 2 or 3 days before you've mentioned it. Is it true that android is a copy of linux? (lets say the central bone). Also, is relationship between linux and maemo and/or meego? The first is in N900 and the second in N9, as you know.

Nithin, 11 Dec 2012Hi Mr.Ray My Nokia N8's C Drive is 1 MB. I cannot open most of the applications. I removed ... moregoto to file manager > c drive > delete the unnecessay folders from there which are using lot of space and thats it issue resolved.

I still have my Nokia N8... Its just great... I'm using anna os still n its more stable with apps than the belle update.... Its one of the best camera phones i ever used... UI Is still smooth and doesn't lag at all... :) love my n8... :)
