Wave, 01 Aug 2010N8 Looks outdated when you compare it with Wave. Wave has a stunning look and performance.just wait for it... there will still be no support from samsung as soon as you encounter a problem, and updates will be versie scarce

to mk,nokia means hanging.just think past old n series models, 5 minutes for opening gallery, hanging after photography, average music, cannot play high qlty mp4 videos,so nokia is still in 2008.u just see the performance of the wave and than speak.i am also die-hard fan of nokia from 2002 to 2008,but not now because of samsung wave.i promise nokia ends with n95 and samsung begins with bada wave.just wait for one year man.
[deleted post]What is your point exactly? Pre production software that tells you you are using too much ram? Is that a surprise to you? Did you not see the same thing happen to the new milestone, running Android, using 512 Mb of RAM?
Point is, S^3 with ram paging will get more out of 256 of RAM than ANY other OS will get from 512.
Don't lose any sleep over it, the N8 flies.
lala land, 01 Aug 2010Hmmmm....Who Thinks The Nokia N8 is going to kill the iphone 4?i think it will iphone 4
To Be correct Nokia N95 8GB will always kill all series of iphone.
its the only phone in the world which can play HD youtube videos.its camera is like for which u cannot explain by word.maps and other features are unimaginable.simply the best yar
Every now and then my company gives me a new phone. When they gave me the iphone I gave it to my daughter after 2 days and got myself an N95 8gb. The iphone was just too slippery to hold (and I don't like cases)and I just could not figure out how to store a word document on the phone.
When they gave me the HTC Hero I used it for a week and then gave it to my daughter and got myself an N97. I loved the look and smooth operation of the android interface but it wasn't as userfriendly as the nokia and the camera was rubbish.
I don't multitask or use my phone for gaming so the N97 works ok for me but it is laggy and the loudspeaker function during calls is terrible. I am looking at the N8 now as it seems to have most of what I want in a smartphone.
Ovi maps is a must because I use the free voice navigation when I travel overseas and it does not require an internet access like google maps.
I tend to do short video clips rather than take photos and the HD capability of the N8 looks very promising (most other phones can't campare in this regard). The video editor featured in the N8 will obviously be very usefull to me because of this.
I don't normally use my phones for watching movies but I see on the specs that the N8 supports Xvid playback. I back up my movies to HDD using AutoGK in Xvid format so to look at a movie on the N8 (like if I'm standing in line somewhere) it will simply be a copy and paste job. Cool!!!
One thing I use my phone for a lot is to read ebooks. I use Mobireader on my N97 and it works very well. I don,t know how well ebook readers work on other brands but on Nokia I have no problems. I have read that the N8 is backwards compatible so I should be able to install Mobireader on it. I know that I will not be able to use it fullscreen because of the lack of a * button but this is not a problem for me.
Skype is also very important to me and Nokia and Skype seem to work well together.
I know that Symbian is not the most "eyecandied" of OS's but it appeals to me because of its functionality. Once a phone does what I want it to do I don't need any bells and whistles to go along with it. However to be fair to everyone a pleasing to the eye GUI will never hurt a phone company's chance of selling a phone.
All in all I look forward to the release of the N8 but I will not buy it until it has been thoroughly reviewed because of my experience with the N97.
AJ, 01 Aug 2010Y Nokia is still using low end processors for its high end phones? Am sure that N8 too will ha... moreAssuming is a bad habit. The word “Assume” itself is not good, when you split the word. (A** u & me). Wait for N8's release then say its processor is not enough or so good.
Y Nokia is still using low end processors for its high end phones? Am sure that N8 too will hang a lot :)

Iphn doesnt support flast content ! N8 ll introduce flash 4 which supports flashplayer 10.1 ! :)
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2010i dont think so...iphone 4 got 1ghz processor compared to N8 only 680 mhz...iphone 4 have fast... moreCPU speed is not internet speed. N8 has "faster internet" (up to 10.2 Mbps) than IPhone 4 (up to 7.2 Mbps). IPhone 4 has better upload but most of internet usage is download anyway.
Now itz the only question makes me confuse about Nokia N8 ! What colour should be selected ? Availability of colour ll vary with different countries (according to nokia) ! I love blue, orange, silver white ! I love to decorate my phn with different themes ! I think most of the themes ll look great on silver white rather than orange ! Love N8 :x
