Rock, 01 Aug 2010Do any one know which US carrier is going to get the rights for this phone?No US Carriers like to carry Nokia no more. Last time AT&T announce Nokia phone after one month had to be recall and stop selling.

AMANITA, 01 Aug 2010Nokia N8 is a perfect smartphone !you must be 12 years old if you think this is a prefect phone. Look around you and options on GSMarena and see how many more phone by far better than Nokia China made low quality outdated phone.

But i did a test in Samsung flagship store for only 10 minutes by ope... moreTake it or leave it,samsung is the largest technology company in the world,and samsung wave is one of the best smartphones availaible in the market,it even has features that other companies still dreaming about like the best screen in the market (the super amoled) that will give you the best watching experiance with 5.1 virtaul sound (home cinema in your hands)also it is capable of recording HD video in 30fps (when you are watching the video on the phone you might think that the camers still recording due its clear recording) .
and sory for your bad experiance with one malfunctining unit,but this can not be generalized to all samsung wave units,and people can check youtube by themselves to see the truth.
by the way all the wave features comes in only 119 gm with scratch resistent body.
so please stop post lies about the wave so we stop correcting them

pooper, 01 Aug 2010just saw another videos of the n8. And its symbian^3 is so ridiculously slow. I mean browsing ... morenokia is really playing catch-up in the smartphone/touchscreen market. if i'm not mistaken, their first touchscreen phone was the 5800, which came out almost 2 years after the iphone. they were quite slow to enter the market, perhaps feeling that touchscreens were just a fad that would eventually pass. obviously they were wrong, and now they are paying for that. the reason why symbian doesnt quite compare to the likes of android and ios is because it simply wasn't initially designed for touchscreen. i think some people forget that. nokia have now realised that and have decided to develop meego for high end touch devices (a good move imo).

The latest preproduction firmware have nice transition effects in auto rotation. I saw it in some videos but can't find link. You tube is now flooded by N8 videos even before launch!

It is just not extremely fast.
But it is good enough.
I like N8 because it has loads of powerful goodies.
-12mp camera
-xenon flash
-USB otg
-free ovi map with voice guidance
-superb video recording quality
-superb audio recording quality
-gorilla glass
-HDMI
-superb loudspeaker sound
-FM Radio
-Radio transmitter
...etc
I cannot find all these features in one device alone it the market now.

Okay Symbian^3 is not smartphone OS but it is a mini computer OS , because it supports usb otg ( harddrive upto 1.5tb, even many computer cant support) and bluetooth mouse/keyboard just like a Computer.. Happy.. Go to your nearest shop and ask a lollypop lol..

just saw another videos of the n8. And its symbian^3 is so ridiculously slow. I mean browsing to the next homescreen takes a noticeable amount of time. It takes 1 second to switch to the next homescreen! Touches didn't register a few times. Many times there was noticeable lag after a touch before the n8 responded.
This is not a fluid OS like android and ios. How can people still defend the n8?
And how can this be possible? Nokia is so long in the smartphone business and in 2010 they still cant produce fluid, fast os while other OSes are just new in this business? So unfortunate because the n8 has the best hardware out of all the phones on the market. The most allrounded phone.
