SAD NEWS for NOKIA N8..!! Just checked with Nokia.
There is one real big problem with Nokia N8 which the developers cannot seem to fix and will not be able to do it seems. Watch the video below at the (5:15) minute
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBLwcBHusVY
The checkerboard pattern during pinch zoom out cannot be fixed. This problem is not there in HTC or Samsung Capacitive phones.

samsung now is keeping updating softwares and widgets regulary at samsung app store.
and it will update bada os to bada 2.0 at the end of the year and in between there will be minor update.
little secret:when bada faced memory issue it restarted itsself in 40 sec, without the need for removing the battery unlike symbian that will not respond only to removing the battery.

I just thought nokia may have released another sample without any background music added. Especially, since I read a few people who were confidently saying that its really good. :)

Hey guys.
I read here that since N8 has a dual mic, it has a really good audio capture when recording the video.
But isnt that theoretical ? Because the Video sample in the link below (where the guy in blue is dancing) has background music added to it ??
Any Samples that showcase the audio capture too ? Thanks
This page is really on fire, every one hour the "Total Hits" increases by 4 digits.
N8 rocks.
Yeah... Tru Dolby DTS 5.1
Not the Dolby mobile you find in phones today... It's gonna redifine the way we use phones for entertainment.

[deleted post]Hi here is my personal opinion
wave wins with S_AMOLED and 480 x 800 display.... + 1 GHz processor and smooth transitions + fluidity of OS + 30 fps hd recording + (... i cant find more pls wave users help ....)
now about nokia n8.. lets dig deep
First of all N8 is not far behind with its AMOLED+ bigger screen (3.5")+ anti reflection coating [1]+ scratch resistant Gorilla glass display
Now comes the bada OS and 1 GHz proc. Okay all of us know that n8 has a dedicated multimedia processor ( Broadcom BCM2727 GPU) with its 680 MHz proc.. and symbian^3 looks very promising on it [2]. Let's hope it gets better by the time it release...
Though n8 captures video at 25 fps (which I think is quite fine [3]) it has two microphones for much better sound during recording. that makes it more potential for hd video recording
-----------------------------
Now a few!!!!! plus about n8
-----------------------------
Photography: "A picture is worth a thousand words" [4][5]
connectivity: GPRS and EDGE class 33 providing 6 active time slots [6] so more speed+ HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps + WiFi with universal plug and Play (UPnP) +FM transmitter+ GPS with lifetime free navigation + HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 2100 /1900 (move anywhere..). seems nokia really connecting people...
Multimedia: Full Divx support+ HDMI out+ True Dolby digital plus 5.1 [7]+ USB on the go+ bluetooth mouse+keyboard[8]+ Nothing to say about the excellent sound quality of nokia even equip with cheap 5230. and about mono speaker?? Don't even think of lagging behind [9]+ cool video editing with Hollywood style special effects [10]
Design & Construction: five color gadget concept(kodak introduced in late 1920s..) so it's my legendary precious ha ha ha.. + Anodized aluminum casing + sturdy built + heavily scratch resistant cover glass of the lens..
Features and Apps: It's symbian with Qt... What else to say???
Gaming:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgh6UAvEemc
Just repeating some of Chris Bnnetts thoughts..
Assume you are sitting on your sofa, your device is connected with your hd TV, you are watching movie from your USB aided by a USB mouse, suddenly you need to stop the movie and check email for business purpose then make a few calls.......
guess what everything from the same device.... without closing anything...
That's the vision of nokia... Thats n8.....
Rishi Mewara, 31 Jul 2010hi can anyone tell me that how good is the speaker sound of n8 during calls (loudspeaker mode)... moreNokia N8's loudspeaker is really good.
http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/07/22/nokia-n8-and-its-audio-smarts/
I feel pity for these samsung fan boys... I think they are here because they feel bad abt their product.
I don't like to watch movies on the phone rather I would connect to my 20" monitor thru HDMI.
As others mentioned, the Ads are started in India, N8 will be mine in 40 days.

[deleted post]What is the use of able to record video with good frame rate but unable to match the sound quality?
I tested Wave at Samsung flagship store.
The video frame rate is impressive, BUT the recorded sound just suck big time. Especially at noisy area.
N8 in the other hand have the ability to record HD video too. Although not as much frame rate but its already more than good enough to keep my jaw open.
Its also accompany with a great matching recorded sound.
Wave's LED is too small, it doesn't help even a bit at low light video capturing. Have == don't have.
N8 on the other hand have bigger sensor that help to capture video even in low light condition.
It can capture whatever things that human eye can see in the low light area.
So i think it is enough.
Why are you posting about WAVE here in N8 topic?
One reason i can think of is because you are not fully satisfied with your choice of choosing WAVE.
You felt insecure about your device because it does not impress you as you expected.
Thus you are trying to boast your security and confident here in this topic by posting about WAVE here.
If N8's fans are convinced by you, you will feel "yea right! i have made a right choice".

[deleted post]Yes mate... I do understand the constraints imposed by samsung about Voip services. I've been following the wave and been doing an extensive comparison with the N8 as well. But those are some of the things that i cannot live with as symbian has kind of spoilt me with these goodies. It is quite assuring to have these app running on a less powerful phone than not be able to run them at all.
If Bada could do something about it before N8 releases, symbian users like me will still opt for the N8 though Wave may have a tempting price tag and a better processor.
And just because the wave has a 1Ghz processor doesn't make it the fastest. Bada and symbian are two totally different platforms. It's like comparing linux with windows. We all know that linux even on an underspeced PC can run as fast or better than a high end windows PC. In addition, N8 has a dedicated graphics processor which can offload the CPU and do all the graphics related processing. I recon the GPU comes with it's own dedicated memory as well. That would save a lot of RAM resulting in more free RAM for running apps. It is really a 680MHz CPU+GPU vs the 1GHz CPU of wave. We can only guess who would come out the winner in the end.
It all comes to OS optimisation and we cannot say anything about it until the N8 is released. i'm sure a lot of wave fans are gonna be disappointed.
And finally the samsung support suks. They can't even come up with a decent PC sync solution that can match up with the OVI suite. Nokia has one of the best after sales services. They constantly update their products even the older models. This is really a blessing for customers like me who won't feel dejected. What if their phones aren't that state of the art, atleast they treat us like real human beings rather than some sheep or guinea pigs.
Great news for us who always try to take the new...don't suffering in impatience that still it is not in market..
Thanks.
