at last i own samsung wave now, i couldn't wait for N8. I am stunned on its speed on apps and games, i hope N8 could rivaled this. well good luck to nokia, 1ghz arm cortex 8 is fast, real fast. like zoom zoom zoom... user experience is half the price you pay, superamoled, 5.1 dolby mobile thru headphone, 1 ghz cpu, hd recording, snappy UI. i always gets frustated in everything that is slow and laggy even in real life, i work fast & straightforward and should expect my tools not to give me headaches too.

I wish that Nokia N8 has a faster Cpu instead of the 680 Mhz and what is the 256Mb and 512mb used for if there is a internal 16Gb. Why can't the 16Gb internal storage memory used as a ramdrive storage. Just curious about the 256 and 512mb memory. That's all

I get a new idea for Nokia Neight UI.
Find and cut to a 1080x640 picture. Now cut to 3 smaller picture with 360x640 (vertical cut). Put to Neight right.
=>We have animation: wallpaper move when change homescreen, same Android Operating System.

two reasons i hate owning super expensive stuff
1- people around me may feel jealous
2- if it break, then what a waste..

Today i went to Samsung store to test it out since i was too ear... morei own a samsung wave,it can multi task easily,with no lag, it even multi task java applications,and by holding menu button the running applications screen will appear then you can choose between different applications or you can tap the small x icon to close the application ,also you can close all running applications at once,i think the unit which you have tried might have an early firmware.

im 14 and i want to buy a new phone..probablhy N8 or Iphone 4...i currently use a 5800. The thing is my friends got a BlackBerry(i dont like BlackBerry) and i want to make them feel jealouse by buying N8 or Iphone4 but i cant decide which 1...

symbian does'nt need huge processors for work...it just needs RAM for multitasking & 256mb RAM is sufficient.

in fact its pre release HP and may undergo series of changes b4 coming in market...and then its gonna be KING.

AMANITA, 24 Jul 2010Thx alot ! Bwn anis posted that N8 gonna release 15aug-29aug,is it true ? Dont know but it is official N8 will be release on 3rd quarter 2010, not on October.. Btw I dont work for Nokia so I cant confirm real date ;)

Today i went to Samsung store to test it out since i was too early for the appointment.
I tested the multi-task by opening around 5 to 6 apps.
It prompted the low memory box and ask me to close some apps. I tried to close some apps but it just don't close no matter how many times i press on the x button.
I have to go back to main menu and try to close them again then only it works.
In short, it is still very unstable.
I've used Symbian devices for so long times and never experience a problem closing an apps from multi-task function before.
In short, Symbian is more stable than Bada. No doubt about it.

So did you used N8?? How can you conclude it is slow?? BTW the picture quality of N8 is better than 250 euro Digicams. I dont understand your point?? You are expecting that N8 picture quality should be better than a 500 euro High end Digicam?? I guess you are coming from a Non cultured part of Earth.

Tawazz, 24 Jul 2010Nokia n8 would have been a great 2009 phone .the specs don't meet 2010 phones. eg 720p video w... moreFirst point: I have seen many video experts are praising Nokia to choose 25fps on N8, I'm not a expert. I also here that 25fps is standard in Europe.
Second Point: Can I ask how many widgets and application launcher can you use on 3 homescreen of F480i??
Third point: According to Symbian wiki page, symbian^3 also support Virtual memory.. And the Gpu on N8 can handle 720p and 12mp picture. It clearly suggest how powerful it is. If I'm not wrong even Samsung wave cant handle full 12mp images despite hummingbird processor. Btw I agree faster cpu = less lag even handling large files.

Ok now what do you say about 5mp camera on Galaxy S without flash?, even 90 euro Nokia X2 has it and with flash. What about cheap plastic build.? What about actual resolution of Galaxy S, which is 'just' some pixels more than N8 and on 4" (forgot the number, I guess if you search ' Galaxy S ' on search comment page, you will find it).? Galaxy S has only plus point of Super Amoled, Hummingbird processor and Android for some people.
