Even I am using N8 since two yrs now & not even a single time I had to visit the Service Center. I do all software fixes at home. Its that great!!!

I own this phone for almost 2 years already and all I can say its the best phone ever produced by NOKIA. I hadn't had problems with it, though symbian is laggy sometimes, but I can survive with that. Camera is amazing (much better than most lumias), style and design also great, and it has a lot of useful functions - card hotswap slot, hdmi port and so on. One thing I dont like in here is that the battery is not user replaceble.

byuma, 18 Dec 2012why can't l update my application on n8 and can't even download applications am in kampala ugandaMaybe you don't have store support there. You can go to other sites for apps. There are allot of them. And if you cannot buy them. What can you do? Just download from where you can. n8fanclub is one of the sites. But there are more others and better. But you will need a pc for this.

So i gues it doesn't have it. But maybe has somting similar... As for the second question. I really don't know. This is a matter of choice and taste and how the user will use it's mobile. I don't think that wp 7.8 will be good for me, but for shore is very good for others. So it is your choice. For me, symbian is better, but that is only for me.:) while windows browser is faster. Both mobiles have pro's and con's so...

The n8 is what i've abused to the extremes, dropped a thousand times, hacked, installed a thousand pirate apps, blocked and flashed every month, and it still heroically works like in the first day. The battery has lost around 10% of endurance after thousands of straining hrs, and the top and the bottom are full of wounds, but it is 100% functional and still does everything one needs, browsing, gaming, media playing, navigating, and exceptional call and videocall quality. That's why i am always willing to stick to Nokia. In your case it may be one of those rare defective devices from the manufacture or you may have sunk it in water. It's not waterproof.
