But I've seen a lot of good videos, comments and images on the web. So I am voting and comment base on these now.
I will test the device when i get it on my hand before i buy it too.
Then I will vote and comment again base on my experience by then.

There are many sample still images and videos on webs showcase how powerful the camera is.
The "point" of voting this phone is so simple.
People like the idea and spec of this phone thus there vote for the Features.
People like the shape and build of this phone and thus vote for the design.
People like the videos from all forums and youtube showing how the device perform thus vote for the performance.
10 10 10 of course.
Simple reason isn't it?

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010i voted it 10 10 10!Like if its design worths a 10 or performance with Symbian ^3 / 256Mb RAM / 600-700Mhz CPU to pretend to handle 12MP photos / stills galleries would worth a 10 too. Hopefully it won't lag for any operation, like browsing galleries, browsing photos 1 by 1 fastly etc.. with phone empty just as with quite large collections after a while, i guess most ppl interested in it like pictures and will sure carry / get easily hundreds of shoots on it.
I don't see the point for voting on a phone which hasn't been released anyway.

m smith, 22 Jul 2010The N900 slow? My cousin has one and slow certainly isn't one of its characteristics. All revi... moreI have myself a N900 and i totally agree with the statement that the N900 is slow although it has a solid multitasking capability.
Off course, you can consider it faster than let's say a samsung omnia but the system is overally slow/laggy, as you prefer, due to i would say lack of a biffier cpu and it's sad when you see its not so helping thickness, it would seem to be a powerhouse. If you only use maemo browser you sure will find it fast. But response time due partly to the slow gui (see how many pauses you have to do when using it) and loading times for almost anything not being the dialpad. ex: launching a video within the already launched player.., i'm not even talking about loading downloaded apps or simply ovi maps app).
I use it only for work, rest of time i let it off,
anyway its battery isn't fantastic neither.

Will Nokia N8 support video chat, i.e. Skype video chat, Yahoo Messenger chat?
I honestly pray that Nokia N8 will be able to support video chat.
Also, will N8 be able to show streaming videos other than youtube?

My cousin has one and slow certainly isn't one of its characteristics. All reviews I've seen of it say that it's very fast and handles multitasking several apps smoothly with no (or little) lag.

Nerf, 21 Jul 2010The Galaxy S display is good. The colors are great, the brightness is ok but the pixel resolut... moreI agree with you 100%. If any of you have held the iPhone4 it is truly an amazing display that cannot be beat.
But in reality, do you need that type of resolution on a display? The only real reason I would want the retina display for the N8 is because the photos would look amazing on it.

Lets hope that the N8 isn't a disappointment like the N97. That was the worst phone I have ever owned! I'm already disappointed on how the N8 still uses the same widgets like the N97.
They need to push symbian^4 or moved to android!
I would love to see a Nokia version of android. With Andorid store + Ovi store, ovi maps + google maps. Ovi maps really sucks here in the US.

phones fan, 21 Jul 2010i am not sure that you really own samsung galaxy S,because it has the best screen in the marke... moreThe Galaxy S display is good. The colors are great, the brightness is ok but the pixel resolution is a cheat. It doesn't have true 800x600 resolution and the sharpness of the iphone4 display is clearly better.
Since this is about N8 I suspect that the display will have regular RGB pixel arrangement which almost give it the same effective resolution as Galaxy S becuse this strange PenTile pixel arrangement. Now, if I buy a Nokia N8 I will probably not downgrade too much when it comes to sharpness of the display.
Nokia N8 despite its less powerful hardware seems to be more versatile and you can just do more with it, that's why this phone still appeal to me.

... morei am not sure that you really own samsung galaxy S,because it has the best screen in the market ,the super amoled has the best contrast,the best black color,you have to see the s amoled by your naked eyes not through LCD screen.
and for this pixel stuff and resolution stuff :the samung galaxy has 480x800 pixels while the iphone 4 has 640x960 but when holding both phones from a normal distance you will not see any difference in the sharpness but you will notes that the super amoled screen can not beaten :

by the way i own samsung wave which has the same super amoled screen and the first thing people say when they see my phone: oh my god what a beautiful screen ;)
