... moreUnless they declared 9MP shot (4000x2248) as panoramic shoot mode, we have no idea whether it can take multiple overlapping pictures and merges them together into one wide picture

I Hope, the Nokia N8 doesnt`t dissapoint its owners as N97 did. The Lens`s cover scratch the lens. The flash saturate the pics, N97 crahs(tilts) too often
I hope... N8 would be much better than N97. Nokia should test it verywell before launch it. I burned buying N97 so... i`m not Nokia customer anymore

you mean this? , thats the most comprehensive list of spec that i found, which is official obviously.
where in that do you see "panorama"?
im pretty sure it should be mentioned there if the phone supports it..
im not trying to be an ass or anything, but if you got a source please share link :).. i'd be more than pleased to confirm its supported

Then launch installer from phone. Mac will see the phone as an external USB drive.

Over-the-air update can be done via WiFi thus no data subscription is required.

That counts this phone out, along with all other Nokia's and the iphone4 of course.
So leaves me with the HTC or the i9000 Galaxy S.
Can't quite understand a large company like Nokia not having the software to deal with this problem.
Can't afford to update via the phone, toooooooooo expensive here (N.Z).

GSMARENA have changed the date... moreI also wanna know.
There is actually no official statement from Nokia about the delay yet.
The expected release date stated by GSM Arena is following the date put up by some online pre-order shop i think
So tentatively i will still hope that Nokia release it by August.

In term of camera, N8 have a larger sensor.
Overall, N8 is a smartphone and Pixon 12 is a feature phone. Which mean N8 have more apps.
There are more.
