It will the best if N8 can read rmv and rmvb file or even avi file. ANyone can confirm?
Recently i find that my n97 mini is so powerful that
it le me do something interestinng like
download pirated latest movies, whole album music, hong kong tvb dramma series, via torrent @symtorrent app
the opera mobile also let me to download the pirated stuff from site like sendspace, megaupload, hotfile, filesend which are popular in asia
and i also find a good app that play the rmvb format video on my phone without any conversion on my computer, if you want to try it, google "nokiafanclub rmvb n97"
people should be told about the use case instead of spec list, it is the key to marketing your product well
gsmarena should add changes to comments pages
they should add the most rated comment, in order to avoid repeated faq, repeated useful tips
i am sure many people would like my suggestion,
n8 battery is removable, but nokia not recommend you to change it yoouself
n8 support bluetooth mouse and keyboard
n8 is Eurpo 370
n8 has killed digital camera, gps device, tablet, netbook(meego phone)
n8 is also a good gaming platform, have games like
angry bird, alphalt 5, need for speed, and more to come,
n8 supports qt app and games which is also compatible with meego os
i Seldom see tom helge here. haha. i remember the days he's making mess here. keep saying x10 is better than n8! well i owned x10 already and the qualcomm snapdragon 1ghz is useless. it even hangs. the reason is the outdated os android 1.6
THINGS TO BOAST in N8!
-12mp with xenon flash
-hd video recording
-dolby digital sound
-tv out 720p
-flash lite v.4.0
-can play divx/xvid
To all those who are saying that N8 will be slow.
ARM 11 680 mhz (is enough) + 3D Graphics HW accelerator + a powerful Broadcom GPU ( beated I9000 Galaxy S ARM a8 1GHZ) = a powerful and flawless N8 overall mobile experience!
The battery can be removed by screw drivers.
***** Pls chech this Video,N8 is connected with 1.5TB(Terabyte) external Hard Disk..
You can connect to WEB Tv via 3G connection. Remember it is fully 3g! it has 10.2 mbps HSDPA and 2.0 mbps HSUPA
The battery can be removed and replaced (there is an instructional video on the net), but it is not as easy as pop cover and swap on the go as it used to be in Nokia phones. With proliferation of various portable recharge devices this is a less of issue for heavy users, than this could be in the past. Meanwhile, the benefit is slimmer and more robust and sturdy device.

Just search on Google regarding changing N8 battery. All it requires is removing 2 screws and then replace the battery. A chinese guy even posted a video of it.
Mj, lets pray Nokia N8 will be release in Philippines week or weeks after its official release. I found the features of the phone amazing and great. I purchased Nokia N900 last month. N900 runs smoothly. I love the net browsing the most. Firefox 1.1 is really helpful to me. N900's multitasking is the best. You can't find anything like that in the market. And here comes the powerful N8. I love the 12 MP camera and the HD video recording. I have seen Samsung Wave's video recording. It's okay. I believe N8 can do better than that. There's nothing wrong about the ARM 11 680 MHZ processor. Remember, it is not alone. It is equipped together with 3D graphics HW accelerator and a powerful Broadcom GPU which shows more triangles beating the Samsung Waves and I9000 Galaxy's ARM A8 1 GHZ processor. So I must say N8 is great and powerful indeed. I decided to retain my N900 when N8 comes here in the Philippines. I was really surprisely shocked by the price. A little cheaper than the starting price of N97 32 GB. :) Nokia, I'll wait for your N8 here! Thanks for making a powerful phone!
Of couse it isn't true. Are you dumb? Where did you get this information that N8's non removable battery will be dead after 500 recharges. Well that isn't true!
@ XLong. Get out of here kidoo. N8 has a fantastic design. It has the single main button compared to Iphone's main button which is like a cent. Certainly, Iphone has no passion for designing thier phones. N8 has the most comfortable camera key for the fabulous 12 MP with xenon flash.
To thos who are worrying about N8's body. Well, haven't yo read the specs? It has an anodized aluminum casing. It is scratch-resistant. Nokia make durable products. For example, the N97s. I liked their body. I'm not sure if its metal but I can feel the solidity.
N8 has the EDGE and GPRS Class 33 which makes it fastest in the world. N8 also has Flash Lite v.4.0 First in the world.
this symbian platform is nowhere near the league
I read somewhere that the battery on this one is not removable. So after say 500 recharges, the battery is permanently dead? Is that true? The x6 and 5800 are much better then.
XLong, 18 Jul 2010But its design is so ugly! No aesthetic at all.its nice phone can't appreciated,
its very good phone for me, just like small DVD player with display on your own pocket...
Some people argue that symbian doesnot need arm cortex a8, how does samsung omnia hd perform in term of speed and battery power
XLong, 18 Jul 2010But its design is so ugly! No aesthetic at all.But its better to have metallic phone rather than having a plastic or a brick with a compulsory cover on iphone 4.
But its design is so ugly! No aesthetic at all.
More than millions of people are waiting for n8. I think n8 will sell double as that of iphone4 in just single day.
3MR, 17 Jul 2010what is the best this phone or Iphone4 ?Phones really depend on your own taste. However, you can read reviews that GSMArena puts in after N8 has been released in the market. After that you can compare and contrast the phones and see what you might find fit, and what is more compatible to you. Until the N8 is released there is no point in asking which one is better because, no one besides some lucky people that got the prototype has had experience with the N8.
I am personally leaning towards getting an N8 because i Love taking pictures and i don't want to carry around a BIG BULKY DSLR camera every moment. I am using a LG renoir rite now and the picture quality on the phone is unbelievable, and hoping that Carl Zeiss lens from the N8 will give me the same quality.
