Anonymous, 10 Jul 2010Browse internet == web browsing rite? which i also already mentioned in my previous post. ... moreHaha I think, I dont read your comment carefully :D
Yeah you are right..
But I think if you are going browsing 4-5 heavy pages with flash than 180 mb is not so sufficient.. Btw in below I give link for feature lists of symbian^3 where writeable page demand is mentioned (in other words virtual memory).. So I think 256 mb RAM will be sufficient (atleast for me and I think you too :D )

Why would people actually want to open up 15 applications at a time?

I understand that some might want to play game.
But when you play game will you listen to music too?

Some might want to browse internet, listen music, keep some application open at the background... But is there a need to open up more than 10 apps unused?

If not, why need so much RAM?

Free RAM memory in N8 will be about 180 mb after boot-up..

[deleted post]Sorry, IOS4 is never popular.
                Iphone 4 is nothing.

None of the manufacturer are interested in killing Iphone 4 anymore. The killing Iphone thingy is so sooo sooooooooooo OVER!!

SO GUYS, PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT N8 OR ANY OTHER DEVICES IS/ARE IPHONE 4 KILLERS!

Iphone is not worth to be killed. Not worth to be even compared to any of the high end phone in the market rite now. Not Nokia, Not Samsung. Not LG nor Motorola. Not HTC. NONE!

Iphone 4 is failures are more than the features it can provide.

Please stop comparing N8 with Iphone.
                NOT WORTH COMPARING A KING(N8) WITH A SLAVE(IPHONE4).

[deleted post]1. Battery is removable. There is no such thing as "practically irremovable".

                  2. N8 is not the last Nokia device will use Symbian OS.
Other Series of Nokia devices will still stick to Symbian. Nokia will not use Android because Symbian and Meego are more than able to satisfied their clients. At least not in the near future.

                  3. Symbian is very efficient in dealing in RAM. (This point has been brought up near thousand of times still you didn't know or plain denial). 121 mb RAM are more than enough. Unless if you want to run 20 high resources consumption apps. But why? Simply want to show off?

                  4. N8 is not slow at all. What do you mean like "hyper slow"?

If I am hiring a researcher, you are surely out of the list. Sorry.

N8 dont meant to be compete with Iphone directly. It will be upcoming N9 who make your iphone trash.! See the price difference between both N8 and Iphone 4. BTW Do I need to remind you problems with your precious Iphone 4: Display colour leaking, Usb port catching fire, not to mention poor signal quality, poor build quality, proximity sensor dont works etc etc

Have you seen their flip phones their long. I'm an asian and I know.

Iphone is the brick its rectangular and thats it. No features except for protection when you throw it at someone. I can understand that as crime rates in the US are high. No offence to Americans.

N8 has tapered edge and I don't see the resemblance. More features and user friendly. It allow the users to do what they want, rather than how Apple want you to use it or HOLD it.

Be constructive. Have you even use the Symbian 3 yet. Its not even out yet except for test and demo units which are not 100% ready.

                              You're childish. Please grow up!!

Let's hope that Nokia doesn't bring out the exploding battery on there new h/sets as they previously did before.

I won't forget thatone for a long time.

The N8 is huge and if you took the h/set to Japan they would laugh in your face and arrest you for having a brick which resembles the N8.

You can't be serious about the N8 Nokia days are well over now.

It's been booted out of the competition for years now.

[deleted post]IOS4 most popular? Lol, like where? In the states? Last time i checked, which is today, most of the world's population was using some form of Symbian Os. You know, India, China, most of Europe too, countries where people actually do something with their time other than playing games. In the states the picture is probably different. But then again, the US represents only about 1/20th part of the world, and its least productive part, at that. So please learn perspective before you post.

Truth be told, I am very amazed at the photos produced by the N8. At first glance, I couldn't even make out those pictures were actually taken using a mobile phone. And to top it off, the details preserved and the noise level was simply breath-taking. It seems the days of standalone digital cameras are over. The only thing I think capable of outperforming the N8 is none other than a DSLR. I mean, truthfully, this little piece of technology will put any average digital camera to shame. Plus, you still get HDMI port, USB OTG, AMOLED, wifi b/g/n (wow) etc. Really high value for money. Will consider getting one once it is released. =)
